MARTIN O’Neill hopes extra competition for places will spark an upturn in Sunderland’s performances.

Anyone in the least bit concerned at that comment? It is the players as well as the manager that is letting us down. The fact theirs more competition for places is hardly going to improve the performances.

He did try to sign him in the July.

Also Mon clearly stated last summer,Egan and Laing were going to get their chance this season. As we know injury wise,it didn't work out.
Well he is here now and hasnt kicked a ball for us so its a pointless signing. The pointof the Jan window is for players to come into the team and improve the starting 11. Ifr we go down I feel it is because we failed to do that and the areas of improvment were very obvious.

Ranault and Graham simply have not improved out starting 11. Poor.

its bollox though.he saw a deficiency and addressed it bringing in mangane an absolute nothing signing.

How long did it take last year for Bridge to get a start?

He has been o9ut an age though. Why did MON NOT SIGN A CB IN the window. Dont give me Renault as he doesnt exsist

Mangane is an extremely odd one and suggests something is not right with our identification, scouting or training of players.

However, go back to January and many of us though O'Neill had done the right thing in looking to address the spine of the side. Experienced defender, young CM, experienced striker. Unfortunately, those of us who thought Graham was a dud look likely to be proved correct and god only knows why Mangane was signed.

Can't argue with any of that

yes it quite clearly is. he saw we needed a cb and brought in(another) pile of shite. he didnt even make the bench last week but its fine cos he was only short term cover anyway so he doesnt count as another failure.

your right mate, god forbid he had to create a chance for himself:oops:.

If he did that as often as you would of liked he wouldn't be playing at this club. Sess makes a lot of how own chances...but he can't shoot for toffee otherwise he wouldn't be here.

Fact that is it? Or your opinion?

100% fact. if you sign a player for 4 months and is not match fit after 2 months, hasnt kicked a ball competitively in 2 months,is not even on a 7 man bench then yes he is shite. alternatively if MON didnt address it how is mangane at the club?.

I dont see your point. Bridge and Ranault are both bad signings.

My point is in terms of playing games,Mon has the same theme running with Loans as cover.

Fuck off.
