Similar to the other thread. I know there are loads to choose from but what is the one game you wish you never went to

Mine would be the 7-1 defeat to Everton

You want us to pick one? Asking a bit much to narrow it down that far.

I can go one better having been unfortunate enough to witness an 8-0 thrashing at West Ham who had 3 World cupwinners in the side.

hull 3-2 safc. one new years day morning kick off. hoyed up all the way down. safc ripped off as bennett scored an equaliser that was not given.

only cheered up by first sight of penshaw monument, on the way back, when news came through that the mags had lost 0-4 to wolves at home and steve bull scored all four iirc

One season would be the relegation under mccarthy, including in that the 1-4 defeat at the mags. I was on honeymoon for the re-arranged game (Fulham iirc) so never seen us win a game that whole season.

Another absolute sickener in the same season was Everton when they scored from a corner in the dying seconds.

Under Keane we were getting beat off Fulham at home and were playing awful, walked at half time.

Loads to choose from and thankfully my memory, with assistance from alcohol appears to have wiped them out.

You lucky Bastard i dream of seeing only one 8 - 0 defeat. I was at watford and all.

Mine would be the 4-1 victory at the den round 76-77. some bastard was chasing me wielding a meat cleaver. Can't remember the score at the time but I did leave in a hurry.

The 8-0 West Ham game

Mags 4-1

7-1 at Everton

That hurt that day, the only plus was that Julio fucked She-ra's knee.

And I'll trump that by not only seeing the West Ham game but being there when we got beat in 82 by the same score off Watford ..... :-(

Same. To only choose 1 is pushing the boundaries.

Southampton away, mid-70's, at the Dell.

Stuck in that horrible little pen in the open end, pissed it down all match, were winning when Ashurst missed a penalty, trouble outside before and after, scratched the hired minibus and to cap it all we were on MOTD so everyone could see us lose 4-2

the mqags 4-1

chelsea a couple of seasons ago 5-0 down at half time.

last season at liverpool was shite. as much to do with a hangover as owt else

Mags 1-4. It had been such an awful season, when we went 1-0 up I really thought we might beat them, then to get thrashed like that was unbearable. No other game has ever come close, 7-1 at Everton wasn't anywhere near.

This game for me as well to be fair, I was wearing a permed wig and a stick on tache, which lets be honest made me look like a prick before I had opened my mouth. Giving it the big one to loads of manky scousers before kick off, calm down, calm down and all that shit.

The wig came off after the 2nd went in, the tache after the 3rd. we were half way down the M62 by the time 5,6 and 7 went in with the memory of 20 f***ing scousers shouting calm down, calm down at me as I was leaving

f***ing Goodison
