You can't wind a club up, I assume you mean, close it down?

Especially one that can attract a crowd base of safcs size

He'll walk away once he's minimized his debt as much as possible, whether thats administration, sale of the club, liquidate the club or whatever. He'd allowing the minimum resources possible to keep it going as a functioning operation. I honestly don't believe he cares if we get relegated or not

Do you want your dummy back?

I see this alot on here. It doesnt take into consideration that out goings were at record amounts.

It really doesnt matter how much you bring in if you're giving more out.

So the person in control has been giving more out than he's been getting in?

Absolutely, it was astonishing that we had got into such a position from buying people with high wages that we couldnt rid ourselves of, to buy more of the same.

All happening under the nose of the person in control?

I still struggle to understand how Safc had ten years of sky/bt/setanta/worldwide TV channels money, average 40000 crowds/merchandise sales, sponsorship, player sales of record amounts and be in a position of unable to spend a million quid
Because we spent it all mate, and more than that, we spent money we didn't have on top.

It's not that hard. That's how we are in debt.

And the fact that we're probably still paying for half of them
Point stands. We have received £500 million.

I do not believe we have spent around £680million

If so, could someone breakdown the exact fee spent and received for ten years.

The figures for TV are known, around £25 million a season which equates to £250 million

Attendances average 40000 which equates to around £20 million a season = £200 million over ten years.

At least £50 million in ten years of merchandise and sponsorship

That's my £500 million figure

Anyone work out the £680 million we've spent

See this.

We haven't spunked £70M on players who don't want to play for us / are spineless / are mercenery / are locked up in the jail. It's definitely not in the club's interest to pursue this model, again, so, this.

We all know that the lanky ginger bastard and his greasy f***ing cohort only have their own interest at heart. And if the oily Bain gobshite has his cronies viewing this, I will gladly give you my season ticket number so you can do me a favour and ban me. I can’t stay away otherwise

It's a disgrace. I refuse to accept that teams in this division can outspend Safc especially those from 10th place down

And whose idea and how much is the club's hotel costing us? Fecking great idea that; lets build a hotel in a shit location.

I have never felt such a disconnection from this club but I can’t stay away. I have not hated an owner as much as I hate this twat. Not that he’s bothered like cos he’ll still want all the money back that he took a gamble on and wasted.

Err, yes you can. You simply appoint a liquidator on the basis on insolvency.
Do you really think a club such as SAFC with its fan base, would no longer exist, the sol demolished and the club become a footnote of history?

Give over grumps man

£500 million in, we have spent £680 million?

What's happening with the £100 million parachute money, the £30 million for Pickford and Christ knows millions saved on those out on loan?

Tha parachute for this year is £47m. That will pretty much all go on running costs. The £30m for Pickford will go on outstanding instalments on previous incoming transfers. Anything left after that will go on reducing the external debt of £68m whch must be repaid or refinanced by July 2019.

See this.
I think the ball probably started rolling when Quinn and Keane got us out of the Championship in 2007 and has just been allowed to snowball for 11 years till it's got to where we are today sadly

Paying 25 players ~£30k per week is about £400M over ten years. Then we have all the other stuff like heat, light, rozzers, marketing, PR, medics, insurance, travel hospitality, admin etc. If that is £10M a year, which isn't beyond the realms of possibility, then there's another £100M. Pile on some transfers, some debt management fees, some one off payments and some transfers and there you have it, the recipe for f***ing up a football club. :)

Might as well close the club down, demolish the stadium, the aol complex, release all players, sack all staff

The £100 million parachute payments are guaranteed over four years.

So all debts to that amount are covered.

The £30 million for Pickford was on top of that guarentee

See this.

Here are some numbers from the last 10 years accounts added together

Income £766.5m
Staff Costs £577.2m
Other costs £192.4m
Interest £34.9m
Incoming transfer fees £125.8m
Outgoing transfer fees £309.9m

So, our business costs (staff, other and interest) in that time were £38m than trading income, and on top of that we spent £184.1m more on players than we got by selling them. That is why there is no more money.

The £100 million parachute payments are guaranteed over four years.

So we're not going to spend any money on wages and running the club then? That is what every penny we've ever had from the PL has gone on.
