When did the ground go? I seem to remember being there circa 1966 but I am sure Gateshead had moved on then?
Remember playing on same site for Felling Blue Bell a few times against Teams Social Club. Tasty games, including the time our goalkeeper got sent off for fighting with fans behind the goal.

I watched the damned united again this morning. How the hell did they recreate the baseball ground like that? Cracking stuff.

Cheers mate. Must have been cleared around then, I played for the Blue Bell up to about the mid 80s.
Garden Festival was 1990(?)
