Oh wise SMB - Roof Leaking

Mine was flashing around the chimney, water gets in then gravity can take it anywhere into the house.

This is very common. It can track along roof beams or ceiling joists so the wet patch isn't always were the leak is.

Side about a meter from the edge of the roof.

Edge of the roof joined to next door? Possibly flashing or soakers. Similar advice for chimney.

Edge of the roof as in the bottom? and if it's slates and not actually tiles it could be an eave slate needs replacing.

I had a leak last night too, seems to be coming in above the window frame , happened before when the wind blows the rain against the side of the house

I would probably get a roofer to have a look at it mate.
