People on here saying Patterson isn't good enough, be careful what you wish for, remember the f***ing muppets we had in goal for us the last time we were in the championship

Personally I think he looks capable. However he’s very young and inexperienced and if the wheels come off for him during the season, it could happen in a big way.

If just be more comfortable of we’d gone out and signed proper championship experience to compete with him. Getting Pompey’s reserve keeper in from League One, just smacks of trying to do it on the cheap.

I reckon he'll look to see what Sheff U do before making a change.

Maybe also look to Stoke game - if Evans is out for that one he might bring on Matete if he's going to play the Stoke game.

Yeah but the first was meant to tee off to his right to spin on the outside, the first touch bobbled the ball and it hit his knee. Imo the issue is with the first touch
I mean we are arguing very minor specifics here like. Let’s just say his touch and decision making may cost us.

It strikes me that it’s relevant what the attacker does. If he stays on his feet (as the contact isn’t strong enough to pull down) is it still a red? Players put hands on shoulders and shirts throughout a game like that and it’s not a foul. I’m being genuine btw, not entirely sure what the rule is here
I’m not entirely sure either but I suppose it’s the interpretation of the fact he hasn’t won the ball the lads clean through and he’s last man. If we are looking at relying on a striker not going down in that situation in order to spare us a red we are going down to 10 every single time.

Are people still wondering if shieldsblackcat is an utter f***ing moron? He’s been like that since the day he signed up.

The bloke had a family funeral for a f***ing gerbil man. He’s certified

That's a bit harsh like.
