Office/work based things that make you NOT want to get up in the morning.

Shite uncomfortable smelly dirty work environment. Dealing with the public who think they have a right to tell me what to do. Crappy shifts with a max 40 min break for a 10 hour shift. Rubbish start times and bitchy work colleagues.

Basically incompetent management.

It really winds me up when people are promoted beyond they're ability and they start to believe their own bullcrap.

I've seen a few over the years and it seems that the larger the company, the more it happens.

Nothing makes you not want to go to work in the morning more than the thought that if you have a great day, work well, innovate,
motivate, generate and prosper that some absolute bell will end up scoring points of it in a management review as they pass it off
as their own idea/project.

One memorable occasion saw one cretin stand up in front of 200 staff and give us a general dressing down for not installing the company app
on our own devices so that we could sell to the public when we were out shopping and socialising. He stood there and got his phone out
and told everyone to get their phones out and we will install it now .... you could have heard a pin drop, not a muscle was moved. It was quite liberating to know everyone had the same opinion of him.

People loudly eating apples and crisps in a small office. It literally stops me working and forces me to log onto the smb and complain.

Dealing with HMRC on a daily basis, unless and don't give a fuck. Most peoples accountancy bill would be lower if it wasn't for them messing things up.

The new amounts…
One meal allowance per day can be paid in respect of business travel. The amount cannot exceed:

  • £5 where the duration of the travel is five hours or more
  • £10 where the duration of the travel is 10 hours or more
  • £25 where the duration of the travel is 15 hours or more and is on-going at 8pm.
An additional allowance not exceeding £10 per day can be claimed if the travel is on-going at 8pm and the duration of the travel is 10 hours or less.

You need to be out the hours for 15 hours a day for £25.. it's a tenner otherwise.

And you are not actually getting £25 are you.. you. An just spend up to that and not pay tax on it.. it's still come out your day rate

Get greedy get done
 I'm not spending anywhere near that man. Who's to say how long I'm out of the house anyway?

Just been doing as I've been told:
"You can spend up to 25 quid a day, just make sure it's pre-prepared food and you're not doing your weekly shop and you'll be fine."

I'd rather have a short commute and make some sarnies to take in
