If he’s not buying we don’t know he isn’t, the other two will obviously push for for more.

My hope is
A) del and Rodney can’t afford to keep club on so sell for lower than agreed
B) kld is waiting for the chances to panic.

Just as I say however a hope.
The Grigg deal indicated that Donald is probably a terrible poker player. Looking at KLD's minders (Treuer and Kevin) and keeping the analogy going, it's like me going up against a World Series pro.

Righteo lads. Enjoy the Koolaid. I was bang on about Madrox from day one and I’m worried I’m right about this now despite previously being positive about KLD.

The ‘value for money’ in rich people buying football clubs and making them successful never ever comes out of the football club itself. This tells me that either they won’t do what is needed to make us successful, or they can’t. Starting to expect threads on here come September bemoaning getting outspent by Hull.

That doesn't matter though. Rich people will nearly always try and find value for money when they're buying a stake in a club or a business. It doesn't really matter what their plans are once they've bought a club, they don't tend to like to hand over more money than they think they should. You mention Hull - their owner paid 2/3rds of Donald and Methven's valuation of Sunderland for a club who, while smaller than us, have finished above us in the table every year for five seasons and have spent most of that time in the division above. So he found value for money.

If you think "what is needed" is us spending a fortune in our first window back in the Championship, then I think you're wrong tbh.

That’s all @Cack Stottie is interested in
In @Cack Stottie’s defence it’s the right thing to do if there’s a little more detail that can be added (for example why Tom White felt it was credible)

It is stirring and I could have done without seeing another piece making their bid more credible but news needs to be out there sometimes whether it’s palatable or not
Seven and a half thousand posts and nobody has a scooby about what's happening.
It’s always the boss or old man who’s unmasked at the end isn’t it ? (Sorry I’ll get me coat)

The issue there is that every single action during their time at the club, barring their apparent reluctance to increase their shareholding, would indicate the opposite very strongly. If you dismiss the share thing KLD is as committed as any owner/chairman has ever been for us. His engagement with the club is completely evident IMO.

That's you're opinion mate, I'm not so sure him and Sartori are the knights in shining amour that some of our fans perceive....It wasn't that long ago folk were having a beer with Stewy and Charlie and they loved how down to earth and transparent they were.

KLD and Sartori have a way to go for me, in fairness that's probably down to issues of misleading ownership and the complexities of what SD and CM actually bought the club for and what they've taken out and put pack in since.

I'll see what this season brings along with the latest ambitions of whoever the newest ownership group is. Hopefully its all positive.

Fair enough to be wary, fella. But I honestly don't know how people can take a measured look at the day-to-day engagement with SAFC that we see from KLD, the way the club has moved forward on the football side and the overall results that have come (in terms of age profile of the squad, saleable assets and ultimately promotion) and see anything other than an owner/chairman who is incredibly engaged in moving SAFC forward.

if donald has sense he wont be involved in the negotiations..and will melt his experienced lawyer do it...thats if donald has any sense..which he doesnt seem to

To be fair years ago I used to buy tickets to sit in the directors box because I knew somebody in the ticket office. Bob Murray won't have known who I was or after that Quinny wouldn't have known who I was. So it's not inconceivable that SD or CM couldn't give tickets to someone without KLD knowing who is in the directors box especially on a good attendance match like Sheffield wed at home. Not wanting an argument, just another angle
That's the problem though there are numerous scenarios that might fit ..so as we dont know for sure i will stick to what fits with what i know of human behavior, what has the ring of truth for me personally! This is a fans forum and in the vacuum of ignorance nobody is right or wrong! Some folk take this stuff far to seriously and get angry and annoyed over trifles.
