If, being hypothetical, KLD has an agreement with JS in place incase JS ever wants out then he can just sit there until the price he is prepared to pay is agreed upon

You must be blind and know little about how a capable, professional journalist would act, never mind one who purports to be a Sunderland fan.

A he’s nots a journalist he’s a tv presenter, 2 massive differences people always get confused.

B He is a massive Sunderland fan, o hope you have done as much helping out the safc foundation as he has aswell, and I’ve seen him rock up at Rochdale as wel as other places, you don’t go to Rochdale from London if you aren’t a fan!

I do wish Tom had just left this one well
alone though and passed it onto a non safc supporting colleague.

Mate, half of Oxford will have been “in the boardroom” on match days. This is all getting out of hand now. But hopefully it’ll all end as quickly as it appeared
I would suggest it might not... this is imho a grift of some kind... and although it looks like it's falling apart quicker than Simon greysons defence, it could merely be replaced by something else. These clueless fuckers are desperate enough to wheel out two other equally clueless fuckers as bonefide buyers ...when in fact the are skinter than most of us

The term in the boardroom implies an board meeting not just an informal collection of board members and their friends!

No it dosent at all, it implies he was there as a guest of others at a match, which happens every single match.

I’m almost certain this bullshit will disappear as quickly as it came however just weeks after thinking our club is on a massive upward curve , it hasn’t half tempered my expectations for the coming season .

I’m still struggling to get my head around KLD expecting someone to spend decent money on shares to have no control at all. I thought it was a shoe in that it would be a family member.

I think he wants the shares, just not at the price SD and CM want for them.

So they're trying to get a higher price elsewhere, and he's effectively letting any potential buyer know that he will call all the shots to put them off / reduce the price.

I believe that if they accept a lower offer from anyone else he has first dibs at that price?

Not sure why Tom White is peddling the line the TFT offer is with the EFL at the moment, because it’s not even close to that stage.

There’s two offers on the table, neither has exclusivity, as confirmed by Charlie Methven. It’s all very odd.

I think that's a bit of a misconception.

Buying shares requires them to submit a bid, and then they can go to the EFL. CM, SD or KLD doesn't necessarily need to agree for them to do that, they can choose to start that process at any time they have a bid in if they want to speed it up. Most people do it only when they have a bid fully accepted, but some people have gone through it before that point.

I suspect their real motive for going to the EFL is that they need credibility, and only the EFL can offer that. If they can prove funds to them, maybe KLD will be more open to them coming on board.

Big caveat here: I still don't think they have the cash and I still think the business model is a massive red flag that both the EFL and KLD would be wary of.

Probably to save face .. they look absolutely toilet, and their capacity to pull this of looks like disintegrating through simple research

There's loads of shifty people buying clubs with little finances etc or failed business in the past. Some fail like potentially Derby's new owner, others go through. Donald for example allegedly shown 50mil to efl to complete the purchase and does he fuck have 50mil. Also depends if they are being backed by someone who believes in this type of shit. I don't think they do, and find it unbelievable that they could purchase the shares but after Donald/Methven or Derby etc I am always wary about the EFLs checks.

This is before a match. Boardroom in this context means use of that room and adjacent areas for entertainment of opponents and invited guests of both directors and shareholders, plus corporates from the Riverside Brasserie. Looking at the area on the stadium map, it looks like the directors box (a misnomer if ever there was) seats about 250 people when full. People could be in there and KLD not even know.
It defies human behavior though doesn't it?your a group wanting to buy shares in the club and your not introduced to the chairman...your kld and donald brings in some unknown guests and your not interested (given the recent circumstances)I it defies human behavior!

Possibly, but you'd think if he couldn't afford the shares, he'd be a lot more welcoming to any other investors and to potentially selling his own stake. They're clearly asking for a lot for the shares, but in comparison to what it might take to get us challenging at the top of the Championship, it's probably not a lot.

Him saying that he's insistent on keeping control has to have scared some potential investors off. I'm just guessing like.
He does not come into his full amount of money till he is 25, this December

Clearly someone or , more likely ,everyone involved in this is not telling the full story .

He has been a journalist with Sky Sports prior to becoming a Sky Sports News Presenter.

I have done quite a bit for the FOL over the years, practical and monetary wise.

That is not the point though is it, the argument is over the quality of his output in regard to these ridiculous crypto nuggets and why he has given little information out about them or questioned very much at all. I’m well aware he’s a Sunderland fan and that’s why I find his whole stance on this matter really disappointing and am curious to know if he’s been fed bullshit by someone like Methven for instance. That would make it even worse-where did his boardroom invite come from as we can take it it wasn’t from KLD?

Really worried that these two fucktards can pull a stunt get thru. You have wonder how robust the efl checks are
