So you saying the crypto used is going to be tied to the original monetary value at which it was when the share was bought? If so why not just sell them in GBP?

i don't for one moment believe they will be existing shares in Sunderland Limited. Those are owned 100% by Mercator. What Donald and Methven are unloading are their shares in Mercator. What the investors could be proposing are quasi-share NFT's giving a degree of voting rights over certain decisions - a bit like the so-called golden share. Under PL and EFL regulations, clubs can only sell their own shares to a regulated supporters' trust. I simply can't see a way to sell crypto Sunderland shares without breaching those regulations.

Nobody is, I hope, suggesting that Sunderland shares will somehow become 100% crypto based.
I’m unsure how we got to that comment but if you want to take it down that track then I’ll stay just as clueless as I was - thought you would provide some relevant contribution and knowledge

Of course they won’t. The owners will want to deal in real money, the supporters are the ones than can spend real money on shares that aren’t really shares.

It would be a terrible way to start off a new reign.
