How would the club possibly be benefiting from that? They dont own the shares so they’re clearly doing it for the supporters benefit. What are you on about? They are using it to make a quick buck out of supporters if they were to offer shares via crypto.
That’s the worry. Coupled with the fact I would imagine a lot of your typical football supporters won’t really understand it but may trust it as it’s coming from the club. What are you on about? They are using it to make a quick buck out of supporters if they were to offer shares via crypto.
The influence would be the clubs position, the exact same as if it was a normal shareUnless it’s tied to a stable currency, there will always be outside influence
Can’t imagine why people don’t want something that’s linked with financing crime on a global scale, something that is completely unregulated and whose prime function has been money laundering since it was created involved with the club like.
proper working mans club pin tthat like
How can you get a share via crypto when the club isn’t valued in crypto? You will be paying via a cryptocurrency and your share will depend on the value of that currency/coin. If the coin crashes so does your shares, but the club retains your money via them still having the total amount of shares valued in real money. How would the club possibly be benefiting from that? They dont own the shares so they’re clearly doing it for the supporters benefit.
Fair fucks, all I know is it’s an unregulated, incredibly volatile form of digital currency that has roped in millions of average people who have stupidly invested and lost money - without much to go on in this instance, first thoughts are crypto shares for fans is a bad ideaThe influence would be the clubs position, the exact same as if it was a normal share
That’s what I was *trying* to say beforeHow can you get a share via crypto when the club isn’t valued in crypto? You will be paying via a cryptocurrency and your share will depend on the value of that currency/coin. If the coin crashes so does your shares, but the club retains your money via them still having the total amount of shares valued in real money.
I'm on your side............... unless you're driving a BMWWas trying to since Wetherby. Been stuck behind a Passat and a A45 racing each other and wouldn’t let anybody pass them. Wankers.
Unless safc unleash their own coin so fans can buy shares in clubs coin. How can you get a share via crypto when the club isn’t valued in crypto? If we already had decent owners and they ventured into this market a few year down the line then i wouldn’t be as wary. But the fact they want to drum up supporter investment via murky waters before even buying the club is putting me off big style.Unless safc unleash their own coin so fans can buy shares in clubs coin.
Everything was alot easier when we were in league 1........
You’re on the wrong forum for that sort of approach.I’m just chillin. Happy they’re going. Will wait and see who it is and the detail before I start being negative.
That's all well and good ..but what I'm asking is can a deal made with Donald be made to stick with the new share owners.....what would happen if Santi sold 12% of his shares to the new investor? would the voting rights deal be there in perpetuity?
You can set up types of crypto and the value of that crypto would be tied directly to the value of the share. It would decrease or increase in value depending on the clubs position, just like share prices bought by money.
There’s not just one overarching ‘crypto’ - what if the crypto used crashes to shit and the shares become worthless?
So you saying the crypto used is going to be tied to the original monetary value at which it was when the share was bought? If so why not just sell them in GBP?That applies to any company irrespective of purchase method. No different to shareholders in Carillion, for example.
Are your average football club owned companies in as volatile a position as the average cryptocurrency? That applies to any company irrespective of purchase method. No different to shareholders in Carillion, for example.
