The last time the Mags won a trophy Van Gogh was at the match

a perfect through-ball by Emmanuel Petit found Marc Overmars, who resisted the challenge of defender Alessandro Pistone to prod the ball through the legs of the onrushing goalkeeperShay Given and give Arsenal a 1–0 lead.[13]

Early in the second half, Newcastle were given a great chance to equalise when Martin Keown slipped on the ball. Alan Shearer pounced on the opportunity but his left-foot shot hit the foot of the post, and rebounded back out.

Go to the Leidseplein. It s a 15 minute walk from Dam Square. It's a bustling square with plenty of bars and eateries and when we were there there was street entertainers walking round the tables and it was a friendly atmosphere.
So it's not a dump?

Yes, they have a wide selection of bitters. If you drink pints but don't like lager, it stands to reason that a holiday that mostly involves pints of lager is going to be something of an ordeal.

No, ignore this completely. Go directly to the red light district and don't leave it til it's time to go home. Spend all your time bouncing around the the bars and coffee shops and looking at the birds in the windows in between.
So enjoyment of holidays is reliant on the availability of beers?
