It was worse. Sri Lanka were qualifiers and put out a second string bowling attack cos of injuries.

Lowest I've felt for a long time.

Sunderland can't buy a result. Cricket is awful. Weather is f@cking sh!te - dark mornings, dark, dismal afternoons. Non-stop f@cking rain.

Remember the West Indies will also have to qualify.
 
Nasser made a good point about the players. Many of the 15 players would go into an English white ball hall of fame, however none of them are currently in form, and are coming to the end of their international careers, making the central contract selections even worse.

Four but not necessarily including us or WI. It’s a 14 team one. SA and Zim co-hosts along with the top eight full members in the rankings in about 2026 will qualify directly.

Soo soo disappointed, it has been a truly dreadful campaign!

We were actually 11/4 second favorites for this pre tournament with the likes of South Africa 9/1 suggesting we were better side quite easily.

There is underperforming and underperforming and this has been unprecedented in the sense of the expectation of good side we thought we had.

Or at least I thought we had!!

I don’t mind admitting thought we had a great chance of winning it and could not have been more wrong.

It’s a desperate business, being a fan of Sunderland and the English cricket team. Today reminded me of the Wilkinson season, by about the two thirds point.
I felt that Buttler’s press conference was very honest, as a description of what has happened in India. Of course, the solutions are harder to find.
 
I never fancied us ti win this the aging team but need not expect us to get thrashed 4 games out of 5 either.

Butlers interview was cringeworthy he could not inspire anyone Morgan was direct and ahead of the game.

Combined with Mott it’s being awful just a weak combination.
