ODI World Cup

I’ve just seen on Twitter, how true it is I’m not sure, but if SL win today and SA beat Pakistan tomorrow the 4 semi finalists will be set with 19 games still to be played. A big sign that this tournament is dragging too long.

I hope some of the proper cricket journos interview Key and ask him why we persist with the Hundred given the damage we are seeing before our own eyes.

We need to produce new 50 over cricketers and that won't happen while most of them are playing this16.4 rubbish instead.

Can’t stand the hundred but again I doubt any of the Australian or Indian squads play domestic 50 over cricket. Quinton de Kock is leading run scorer but I’d guess hasn’t played a domestic 50 over game for at least 5 years

He 'answered' this without it being asked. The 100 is vital as it pays for *all* the other formats. Apparently.

It’s obviously nonsense. If those two results happen, SL, Afghan and Pak will all be two pts behind Aus in 4th with three to play. Admittedly all will also have a worse NRR but still, how can it be impossible for one of them to get to 4th?
