Recently learned the word eggcorn which describes:
a misspelling arising from similarity between the sound of the misspelled or misused word and the correct one in the accent of the person making the mistake (e.g. wet one's appetite instead of whet one's appetite)

Also love the cruelty of hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia which is used to describe a person who is afraid of long words.

Any others?

My particular favourite is:

hornswoggle

verb

INFORMAL•NORTH AMERICAN
  1. get the better of (someone) by cheating or deception.
"the day would soon arrive when Peter would see he'd been well and truly hornswoggled"
We were almost hornswoggled out of qualifying for the Play Off final by those poxy Portsmouth players who keep diving arl ower the place and feigning injury.
