All said, I do have a fondness for Stoke. SO many ex Safc players having played for them does that. And that they have been in a similar situation to us over the last few years doing rather well. They managed to achieve our goals of a cup run and maybe Europe, so fair play to them.

I could understand this if they had a number of players who we liked or could relate to but they don't.

Very few were bothered when Collins left (although Stoke have gotten rid of him now haven't they?), Whitehead was never popular. Jones didn't do enough, Higginbotham was only here five minutes, Delap wasn't here long either.

The only player I like is Sorensen. We should actually be thankfull for Stoke for taking so many average players off our books.

After seeing them twice this season, I can't understand how they are where they are in the table. They are such a poor team and have very average players.

Like some fans only ever see one side, but get away with murder week in week out, Pulis going on about Meyler which he is totally out of order not a murmur out of him about the dive for their penalty last week or week before. Not a mention of teh 2 hacks fuller did and should of been sent off. Not a mention of all the holding, pulling etc. in both boxes week in week out. Nobody will miss them when he eventually gets them relegated, the sooner the better for me. The fans are well up there with Liverpool fans as being picked on, can't do anything wrong, never their fault.

They're a bit like Liverpool in that respect.

stoke could actually get sucked in to the relegation battle be honest... Next few games are:

fulham - away
swansea - home
norwich - home
chelsea - away
spurs - away
man city - home
wigan - away

Not too inconceivable for them to pick up only 1 point from that lot. Only thing that will save them is whether the bottom 3 can get to 36 points...

Stoke and Stoke fans are wankers .. I have to live with them .. My phone is strangely quiet this evening ... Fuck em ..

I think stoke are in trouble because the refs are wise to them, or a memo has gone around the F.A.

For years they have got away with fouling -you would be hard pressed to find a stoke goal from a ball into the box where there wasn't someone being fouled, even if in a minor way with some holding or obstruction that admittedly happens pretty often with other teams, just not every time. Refs have stopped letting them get away with it.

And their constant run down the wing then fall over to get a free kick tactic has stopped working too. There was a blank patch of grass next to our box where they had been constantly going down trying to win free kicks because that's where they take them from in training. The ref only gave it once.

Collins- was a few more than a few
Whitehead- was popular before he had that bad knee injury and didnt look the same player

Stoke Fan

Seriously, this is possibly a f***ing ironic comment. Fuck me.

It seems Martin O'Neil was in on the time wasting as well, did anyone else see him wipe the ball with a towel?

Surely that lad can't be serious ?:lol:

They are the ones that use the towel for their throw ins, but when somebody else uses it it's time wasting.

FFS

Re: Stoke Fan

was it not one of ours with a bit of sarcasm?

Did say to pal that we should have been asking for towels at each throw while ticking the clock down

Re: Stoke Fan

It's funny watching the oatcake in meltdown mode. 6 points nice!

Have to admit it is rather funny to read

Looks like they love playing the victim now  Totally ignore the fact that they are shite ? They've been shite for the last few months. They are in Europe and they are into the knockout stage so they deserve some credit. However they are very very sore losers.

It's nice to come away with a win from there for once, we should of had a win down there last year but Probert decided to be their 12th man. Huth scored the winner for them down there last year with a handball so justice has been done in fairness.

SEB x9001 so far today.

Oh sorry, I don't spend my life on here.

That fkin towel has been everywhere , tucked inside Delaps top , 1st on the coach to every away game , Pulis uses it to dry his hair & wipe away the tears after being done by the proper Red & Whites again :)
