Re: Unbelievable!!!!!

One thing I thought was strange yesterday was the huge gap between their main stand and the touchline on that side. I go to watch Gateshead a fair bit and I reckon the Stoke fans in that main stand are about the same distance away from the action as we are at the Heed and we have to watch across a running track. I think it is safe to assume that the stadium was not designed that way, so what has changed in the meantime??

If your team needs to change the dimensions of the pitch to suit your 'style' of play then you hardly hold the moral high ground in my opinion.

We walked back into town along the canal tow path and at one point I overheard two Stoke fans discussing the game and one of them said. 'The game should not have been played as you cannot play football on that pitch'. I pointed out to him that this would have made no difference whatsoever to Stoke and he did not seem too pleased.;)

Re: Unbelievable!!!!!

They don't cheat, but their goals against us at the Brit last season included Handballs/Offsides/Non existant fouls

Re: Unbelievable!!!!!

Some would say that only clearing your own penalty area of snow to help Sorensen's kicking whilst leaving Mignloet's covered in snow wasn't exactly fair play either. I am sure you all saw those incidents very differently, though.

Didn't actually notice this but it's typical of Pulis. His team waste about 10 minutes every game just drying the ball.

Horrible team to watch, can't wait until they get relegated.

Re: Unbelievable!!!!!

They had a thread on there yesterday all about how Safc played 5 in midfield to stop them 'playing' in fairness I will still have a look on there as there's alot of comedy gold on it

Equally there seems to be a fair slice of their fanbase not happy with their style of play

Re: Unbelievable!!!!!

In danger of spending a fortune and finishing lower than last season, no wonder there's blame being deflected all over the shop.

Oh no, so the onslaught of cheating and gamesmanship by other clubs has tempted Stoke into contemplating whether they should abandon their brand of pure, total football where artistry and playing the game the right way is more important than the venal cynicism of the modern premier league.

Oh no! What a delicate spring bloom we could be losing in the hail of viciousness of other teams. Don't do it, Stoke! Stick to your principles, for the sake of future generations and the children who are looking for role models when learning the beautiful game. Without you, there's only Arsenal and Barcelona left.

Tragedy.

Re: Unbelievable!!!!!

So if a player goes down injured, but then recovers to play on, he is a cheat?

Their club is a joke
Their fans are a joke
Inbreds of England
They all come from Stoke

I was just going to say that

Bloody hell, it must be a canny view with those rose tinted glasses on like, don't know how they dare!

Ok, looking at the tackle this morning on Sky Sports, it might have seemed a harsh sending off, but come on, of course Meyler dived - he had no choice how else does the lad land after nearly sent cartwheeling through the air.

Meyler was very lucking not to have one (or both) of his legs broken, if he hadn't tried to jump out of the way of that sliding tackle god only knows how badly he would have been hurt.

Take away their towels and hamper their ability to chuck their long throws in and they have nothing and they know it.

How dare we be besmirch the name of such a club as Stoke and a paragon of virtue as Huth.

I mean Pulis sent a photograph into MOTD that proved Huth's studs weren't showing, beacuse you could plainly see his knee on Meylers shin. How dare Meyler fall over with a 6ft 4in 13st man sliding into his leg on snow and then have the audacity to be hurt. Afterall Huth has only had 10 yellows cards this season all wrongly given, its not like he usually does this kind of thing. I also noticed Meyler rolling around for at least 10 minutes when Fuller went over the ball onto his shin aswell, Bardsley only did it for 5 minutes when he hacked him down, quite rightly not booked for either challenge.

Its perfectly within the rules to hack players down, pull, push and shove on every corner free kick and diliberately fall over around the box if your Stoke but nobody else. I also think teh Premier League should immediately make every club shorten and narrow their pitches, so we can all play football to the Stoke rules which is hoof and throw ins. I believe Stoke are busy taking EUFA to court as the nasty people there make them widen their pitch for games, its unfair and clearly racist.

Monday morning I should expect Meyler to be banned for the rest of the season and deduct us 3 points at least, its the right and proper thing to do.

why have none of these Stoke fans realised that Atkinson went for his red card before he even glanced at Meyler on the floor?
