Bigger club as in fanbase yes a one club city , but as for the owners and the money side of the game we are light years ahead of Sunderland and that’s not having a go it’s reality , Denise Coates paid herself something like 200/260 million the other year , and her charity dontated £10 million to the Royal Stoke Hospital at the start of Covid , the family are super rich billionaires, local ppl and Stoke supporters so what ever they offered him and the vision for the future he’s took it

Irony being he can't spend any of it on the playing side currently, stinks of him going because hes been offered a massive deal by the owners.

Tbh managers and players no loyalty whatsoever, and if we were offered twice or three times our salary we would do the same , money talks and bullshit walks rings true

Its not even the fact hes going for money, its more the fact hes tried to claim we haven't backed him in the window despite the fact we've spent more money than the majority of clubs in this league.

Its poor.

No offence mate. Fact remains you can live in Cheshire where many players and ex players do and easily get to and from Stoke. This is why they have attracted so many slightly past it players and managers in the past.
Maybe our head coach fancies that rather than his current situation.
When you think about it who could blame him ?
Maybe the difference in wages offered will buy him a mansion near Alderley Edge.
Whether we like it or not we are an outpost. I’m open minded. If he’s going he’s been a twat with doing it the day before a game. If he hadn’t been a success with us he wouldnt have been offered the Stoke job. The least he should do is see out tomorrow’s game.
Let’s see.

I’ll address your points

1) bald fanny
2) bald fanny

well from the links they are bigger, richer, wealthier owner, etc etc.

either way we cannot control where a lad goes. never had any issue with Stoke, the people there are similar to us.
Their owners are considerably wealthier, their net worth is something like £10bn. If it wasn't for FFP, they'd be likely buying their way out of the league.

Similar people fella. Hard working, working class who love their football. There just happens to be more of your lot that go every week than there is of us. Just more people that need their heads looking at.
Tbh, i have no malice to Stoke at all. Decent club, loyal following, no issues at all. Hope he’s what you think you need, but he’ll be forever tainted by me, not for leaving, but for the deceitful manner he left.

Unfair. Like Sunderland it's a smokestack town, never glamorous, industrial, now post industrial although Stoke still has something of a ceramics industry, including both mass manufacture and artisans making beautiful things. I wish the place nothing but well.

Kind of is unfair but not. Parts of Stoke are in absolute tatters but the unfairness comes in from years of underfunding from central government and also may years, unbelievably, of poor governance and investment locally from labour councils over decades.

The place needs investment and it is ripe and ready for it.

The people need backing, like so many parts of the UK that were sold out.

Hope all of the places come roaring back in the future, and I hope the people have long memories too.
