Oasis fans - early version of Definitely Maybe

Sounds class , cheers for sharing. Saw it on YouTube but assumed it was some sour crack that someone had done themselves

Stuff like this reminds me that It’s night & day the difference in his vocals before and after he lost his two front teeth in munich.
Think his vocals had gone before that. He became almost a parody of himself by Be Here Now at times, Munich was like 5 years after that. Too much cocaine was more of a problem.

1st album and to a slightly lesser degree the 2nd album he was actually a very good vocalist.

Heavy smoking and drinking will wreck your voice. It's like a guitarist punching brick walls every night and 5 years on wondering why their hands are no longer flexible

He was superb during the Be Here Now tour. Full pelt every gig and off their nuts, which is what done him in by the end of that period.

And singing with a mic stand ridiculously high. Doesn't do that now and has recovered his voice to some degree.
Be Here Now is Liams peak imo, his live voice anyway.

Peak.

Never seen them live on that tour but just felt like this when he started to ham up the vocals. Can I get a tin of tuuuuuuuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnaaaaaaa

Then by Go Let It Out he was full on not even trying to sing and just growling away.

See think he's starting to go over the top already on that song. Not saying he's bad but he's already over-emphasizing his vocals.

Yer faaaaaadddding ooooooooout

That what I mean. Every album from here out he amps it up more and more till he's just growling noises down the mic.

Passionate and powerful, leaving it all on the stage, and he's stretching those words as that's how the song goes. If he didnt it wouldn't fit the tune?

Think it was around 2000 onwards when he started to go to shit. In the latter stages he wasn't holding any notes, not even finishing off lyrics. Lazy performances basically.
