It might go down to who is the bigger club with the most ambition?

Or then again whoever chucks the most cash in, or is that the same thing?

N`Zogbia and possibly Defoe

We already have got Cattermole and Bramble.

Why don`t we get El Hadj Diouf back and put an offer in Bellamy.

We would than rival Newcastle for having the least like-able squad in the country

Reckon the only way Whelan's gonna let him go is to the the fattest wallet....If we wnt him, we're gonna have to dig deep and in excess of £12 mill I reckon.

will be gutted if we don't him this window, especially as we have looked like we were in pole position for the last 3 windows.

It would be even more galling if he went up the road of course, we had the chance to get him for around £9m last summer, no doubt we will have to pay more than that now

Nowt against Wigan in general, but really hope they go down,if they do we will get Zog, for about 8 million.

It'll be the cash thing, because both clubs are about the same in terms of ambition now, never going to regularly compete for European competition but also unlikely to go down unless extremely badly managed.
In which case I doubt they have a hope.
They couldnt afford Larsonn's wages or the paltry fee being demanded.

He's going to Liverpool.
You've never been wrong.

Think a club bigger than both of us may get him.

That narrows it down a bit!

Almost any club either side of Newcastle & Sunderland are for me bigger clubs whose size really come from experience in knowing the kind of world the PL is and how to cope with it than wealth.

Newcastle are heading in the wrong direction. No money to spend on improving the squad, a shit owner who doesn't give a shit, a manager who is only there to pay off his gambling debts to Ashley a bunch of players who are a powder keg waiting to happen (how long before Barton stabs a granny in the eye, Nolan opens a Brothel and and Ranger shoots one of his fellow pros).

You forgot about Taylor shagging a team mates sister/mother/ex etc.

Excuse me. I think people are making out N'Zogbia to be better than he is. This player was substituted at SOL when playing for one of the worst teams in the league. If he was any good would he be at wigan? If he does come where does sess play?

if yous wern't so keen to spin the dilusional line you might actually see my point.

Of course were not going to get back to the glory days of the 90's early 2000's, that is not my point. My point is that if a player cant get a club in the top 6 then it leaves him with the other 14 you mention. Now obviously I'm biased but in that 14 you have us, villa and everton who are bigger clubs. The rest ie yous, bolton, blackburn come in the next tier of clubs.
This isnt a slur on sundreland and im prepared to take the abuse on the chin but this is my opinion.

were not talking about talent, you mentioned wages.

Anyway fuck off im debating this with Cartwright not you.

Yes that obviously clinched it for the signing of Kuqi. Its obvious why the likes of Barcelona pulled out for him once they knew Newcastle were in for him.

ok ill try to answer you question as honest as I can.

"BIGNESS" is i think defined by success, revenue, tradition, world status, capacity/attendances.

Some clubs have all of these ie man u, liverpool, Arsenal.

Then you have chelsea and man city who are now in the modern game huge due to there financial backing this has resulted in success, albeit more for Chelsea as of now.

Spurs and villa whilst not getting the huge crowds of other clubs or generating big turnovers have had remarkable success including european cups, leagues and fa cups. This still places them in the big club brackett.

Newcastle, attract the 3rd biggest crowds in the country in the 3rd largest stadium and generate a massive turnover. We have played in the champions league, uefa cup, fa cup finals and premiership runers up, thus cemmenting a global image.

all of these clubs also a strong tradition.

Sunderland whilst a big club dont quite match these 8. This isnt an insult against sunderland its just the way I see it. I agree that the 6 league titles is more than most and whilst im not discreditting them they did all take place in the 1800's. Sunderland do have a strong big history but its more inline with Blackpool, stokes and Prestons.

Only being honest

So why are you on our website and not your own?

kuqi was a stop gap, nothing else and nobody claimed otherwise. Due to injuries and Carroll leaving we needed an extra body. Simple as. Sunderland should have done similar with hindsight.

Next question, if somebody starts a thread that is related to my team then I am entitled to an opinion on it. I dont join in threads that are only about yous as i cant fully comment. This thread was a discussion about where n'zog might go, newcastle or sunderland so I give my views why I think if he had choice he would chose Newcastle. Nothing malicious, or name calling, I leave that to yous.
When you start threads about Newcastle do you only want sunderland fans to discuss it ?

North east team with most recent relegation - Tyne.

Huh? How many times have we been relegated since 1992? Two season's ago was the fist time Newcastle were relegated from the PL or from the top division. Since our promotion to our inagural PL season we have been relegated about 4 times.
