Accountants, in a purchase such as this, will place a value on the assets which include the ground ........ if a loan/mortgage is to be required in order to complete the purchase this will be taken into account just like when you buy a house.

As NUFC don't own the land the ground can't be used as security against a loan which means that organisations like NUST are unable to buy the club whatever their daft claims.

The most important aspect when buying the club though will be TOTAL assets as well as turnover. Blackburn have some of the cheapest tickets in the Pl and there is not much prosperity in their small town (visiting clubs stay at hotels in Preston!!!). I can quite easilt see why Newcastle are rated as more valuable. Exactly how much more... well more qualified people than us will decide that.

I can see NUFC being purchased before we see 2012 and I just hope its not some billionaire sheik!!

How much do you reckon?

Right now their direct costs will be similar due to Newcastle dumping a lot of their wage bill over last 2 years. Turnover will probablt be a lot higher at Newcastle due to gates and merchandise.. also every extra game o sky is worth £800k - look how many times they have been on. I wouldnt be suprised to see them turnpver £10m + more each season than Blackburn. Maybe even close to double that.

How much they would sell for... jesus I guess it depends on the investor himself... its really anyones guess.... Blackburn may have gone cheaper as they looked to sell as Walkers trust was dry and the club had no more optinos. Fat Ash isnt quite as desperate
