Blackburn has just been sold for only 23m, plus 20m debt, despite owning their own ground ........... Ashley wants 10 times that, or whatever media reports you choose to believe, despite having been relegated, an inferior squad and no value in the stadium.

Am I missing something or is the Cockney Mafia there for life?

Your fuckin obsessed with the mags you like mate. Gerrover it.

Look at what Liverpool went for. Youd think NUFC would be worth less than LFC given different scope for foreign shirt sales

Not sure about 10 times more, but the mags have massive potential. Certainly worth a lot more than Blackburn imo.

They've had massive potential for half a century while Blackburn won the league ....... I agree up to a point though.

Right now I'm interested in booze and sleep. Not Pure Football eligible topics.

Night night

Can't argue that Blackburn are a more successful club. But a huge fan base with a very well built brand (although a little tainted in recent years  )

Maybe they've promised investment and got it cheaper, as tbh they're never going to generate any funds theirselves.

I'm not an expert on football clubs value, but I can't also see how anyones really going to make any money on Blackburn.

Have the new company bought the ground? It wouldn't be the first time that a club has been sold without the ground. I would have thought the Trust would have at least put some restrictions on its use.

I think the lesson here is that Blackburn HAS been sold, Newcastle HASN'T.

Value means nowt if you can't find a buyer

No idea mate, I'm not the kind of person who would know.

All I know is that BRFC have value in their ground, NUFC don't.

Newcastle will still generate a far higher turnover than Blackburn irrespective of previous success. An investor will look at profit margins not history. Blackburn have a very low turnover for a PL club

Love you. xxx

Not a great deal of value though I wouldnt imagine.

No other sports teams to lease/sell the stadium to
Not the right infrastructure for other use such as sporting events or music gigs
Small town with population of around 100,000. Land is not worth much to property developers

Why not. I'm still awake despite the hour. It passed the time. Half the stuff you post on here is utter, utter shit. At least the OP makes sense most of the time despite his mag agenda, your cack is tiresome. Move on.

To quote the honourable gentleman "Right now I'm interested in booze and sleep. Not Pure Football eligible topics., I rest my case
PS im glad you find 50% of my posts interesting

Accountants, in a purchase such as this, will place a value on the assets which include the ground ........ if a loan/mortgage is to be required in order to complete the purchase this will be taken into account just like when you buy a house.

As NUFC don't own the land the ground can't be used as security against a loan which means that organisations like NUST are unable to buy the club whatever their daft claims.
