I was in your seats that day as well. Not with the author and his group. On my own in the main stand. Perhaps I should right an article on my day. Arrived quietly. Didn’t enjoy the match much. Chatted to the lad next to me. Did not celebrate. Left with the crowd. Got train home.
In fairness, from my experience of match days, Monty and Diver are / were actually decent lads and good craic.
Liars though

And Jimmy Charge Sheet is a bona fide f***ing lunatic 😂

I was as well. 13 year old and in the family enclosure with my Dad.

I saw a scuffle with a handful of Mags in the Fulwell end half way up towards the back, right hand side. Remember one of them was a lanky bastard with long black hair. If I think back now he looked a bit like Professor Snape from Harry Potter. They all got sussed and took a few punches/kicks on the way down to the front where they got walked around to the Roker end off the police/stewards.
Bet the family enclosures then were a bit different to now as well like!

Yeah yeah ha ha, either said because they're gonna win f*ck all or for when they win f*ck all 😂😂
Just tried to Google it to see if reported, only one report of the gig from bong eye would you believe, never mentions it and said noel was "semi approving" some fans singing toon toon black and white army, I never heard that once.
Think Noel has always said a few derogatory things about the filth tbh.

If he'd slagged off Sunderland instead then the Chronicle would have had a double page spread about it and Trippier would have tweeted about it.

Liars though
They aren't the author in fairness.

I recall wandering into a bar on La Ramblas, the day before we played Barcelona in CL. Hadn't got as far as ordering a drink when we heard "hello lads, come and join me. The beers f***ing great here". It was one James Charge Sheet sipping pints of sangria. We had a swifty and made our excuses.
Charge sheet was never a casual. Washington lad, surprised you don’t know him.
Always thought Jimmy was from Benwell for some reason.

I think you’re right in that he’s a West End Lad but lived in Washington for a while. Everyone over a certain age knows him, he has that ‘distinctive’ look.
In fact, you could say he was a bit of a trendsetter, he had full head and neck tattoos in the early 80s, when only true nutters had them. I remember sheepishly trying to hide the fact we were Geordies around Stamford Bridge around 83 when Jimmy walked across the street with the Tyne Bridge on his neck, shouting and bawling.

He was canny company for 5-10 minutes but, in locations like you mention, a total liability. Monty and John were the lads you wanted to happen upon if things looked dodgy. Jimmy was often the reason things were going that way!!

Burn has shown he's more than a plodder and certainly can become a top-half stalwart.
Of course, there are many left-backs better than Targett in the world. I've never said there isn't.
Same as Burn. There are many center-halves better than Burn, obviously.

As for Villa not being able to wait to get shot. Targett came to Newcastle who was trailing Villa with them signing Digne and co and Targett helped Newcastle not only render relegation a distant past but also relegated Aston Villa to a few places below them, so Aston Villas's loss is Newcastle's gain.

All people are hypocrites. It's just dependent on what situation rears its head to a set of hypocritical views.
Villa loss Newcastle gain thinking Targett is better than Digne 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

As for Dan Burn top half stalwart Jesus Wept 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Beautiful 😂
