One of them rumoured to have done it is already inside now for slashing another teenager for not buying drugs of him. Maybe they'll wait until he gets out and do more digging.

Im sure Police forces have faced more difficult crimes to solve and Im sure Police have faced this thing before where people confess who are not guilty.....like its just been said by Lucky , the police took a gamble that they would eventually get to the truth but it back fired.....Im sure a more experienced force (in murders) would have found the truth especially as its been said these said perpretrators are not that clever........who knows but it could well have been already escalated to a higher branch of the force.......time will tell....dont think weve heard the end of this one

I meant they took a gamble in once they had them in custody they would get the truth out of them...thats what i meant

Northumbria is 8th highest out of 43 forces for murders for year 2022. How experienced should they be? Who is going to be above Homicide and Major Enquiry Team to take this on?

The police know who did it,,,,,,probably the local community know who did it. Question is will 20k tempt someone.
In an area of poverty I wonder? What would that mean for that individual....i summise they would have to leave the area and change name....is that worth 20k....but doing the right thing is the right thing isnt it??

Just read that earlier and don't think it's a matter of giving names it will be the evidence that the police need.

20k is not enough though is it....can you imagine you witnessed it and have that evidence. In that part of the world you wouldnt be able to live your life....you would have to give everything up......now a disgruntled family member who knows and would be immune from prosecution is a possibility.
Yeah not enough at all as if someone came forward the whole family would get shit
. From Pallion originally and always there and same names get said over and over again.They used to have a copper who was always riding round on his bike on Pallion Rd and he got on well with loads of people but never saw him for years and things like that would probably make a massive difference.
