Not a bad interview.

Why coz you say so... I've been a loyal Sunderland fan (like many others) for many years now, still coming back for more season after season. Out of my time supporting the club I have received only a handful of enjoyable years, the rest have been a disappointment, whilst paying through the roof for the pleasure. Yet I've still come back.... why?... coz I'm f***ing stupid and this club knows I'm f***ing stupid so they take me for granted.... No more the fuckers!
See ya... stop wasting your life in a message board if that's the case.

just managed some spare time to watch the interview, obviously the regular 'sound bites' which were to be expected but one part stuck out...after a season of 'what i did at everton', SG said he did not want to talk about his past but wanted to be judged on what he did here.

maybe after the time in austria some of the want aways might have a change of heart, if he can manage that then the season already starts to look a little rosier.

Spoke very fast and fluffed his lines a few times. Obviously nervous. Think he will struggle with some of the squad we have left who will be underwhelmed. He needs to bring in lads from lower leagues with a point to prove and if he gets it wrong it could turn out real bad. Judgement reserved and give him a chance is all we can do.
I thought you would be buzzing mate? ;)

On the serious side my judgement is also reserved. I will wait until we see the proof in the pudding, otherwise it's all just speculation on how well he will do.

It's got to be pretty difficult to give a bad first interview to be fair. Moyes had us salivating at first
About the only decent interview moyes gave.
After that it was all downhill, blaming everyone but himself and with a delivery that had all the allure of a summer holiday in Rochdale.

A solid if not spectacular manager, the type who I believe will stay around to do a re-build of the club.

Moyes thought he was above us, and it showed from the start.

Grayson on the other hand, of course he's saying the right things. This is the biggest job he'll ever have, and he knows it. This time next year he'll have been sacked and will be back in league 1, where he belongs.
