If you're into your food, I recommend Middleton's steak house in the city itself. Also the Recruiting Sergeant pub just north of the city in Coltishall does amazing grub.

Last seen eating in Middleton's....

Prime is better, which ironically is in the Edith Cavell pub opposite the Cathedral.

Middleton's is quite nice actually, they do a good lunchtime menu too.
