I think you'll find that Gibbon Arsed Cooper hung his gloves up about the same time 'Porterfield' swung a leg and somehow managed to secure silverware against the mighty Leeds Utd.
What is extremely interesting are the parallels between your football club and those of Ipswich Town. There is no doubt that each set of fans is in denial. The belief that they will wake up one day and the halcyon days of the past will somehow be repeated.
Ask Bayern Munich fans if they've heard of us but please dont make the mistake of believing that you are amongst footballs' big hitters because quite frankly it is laughable.
You may be spunking money on the likes of Wickham but a football club needs a soul for it to properly exist. If there ever was a soul at your club it dissappeared with shipyards, open-cast collieries and Space Hoppers.
My point is that we have dominated them for the last 5 seasons.
We beat them 9-2 on aggregate last season. Dismantling them home and away in a manner which you couldnt dream of against Alan Pardew's Newcastle.
Past glories wont put bread on the table and yes they are right to remember their history but they play in front of 17,000 fans and have a separate area for fans who want to sing. Its 30 years since they won anything....30 years.
Most of their fans werent even born when the great Sir Bobby Robson took them from mediocrity to being recognised across Europe but that was their 15 minutes of fame and it is over...never to be repeated in the modern game.
Some immature imbeciles on this thread embarrassing Sunderland yet again.
This message board is a bleak shadow of what it once was.

Fuck off mag twat
I'm guessing Toon fans have got better things to do than trawl through the messageboards of clubs at the foot of the table. I'm a Norwich fan mate and just came on to question the state of your club.
Is that you in the photo btw? If pounds were points eh?
well stop f***ing reading it then.
Clearly sopwith off yesterday
Haway mods, sort it out.
Fuck OffWas very surprised by the very poor performance of your side on Monday but actually shocked at the lack of vocal support from your fans. The Sunderland game was always one which I looked forward to for the vociferous support that your travelling fans provided.
Not sure whats going on with your club but at this moment in time I feel very fortunate to be supporting Norwich City.
