Guys,

I am still none the wiser why this is really bad timing, I apologise if I've committed a huge faux-pas (I did have a wait to post while awaiting admin approval), will just log off and jog on (feel a bit of a saddo for being on another clubs forum as it is).

Good luck whenever you play the Suffolk scum.

Cheers.
Don’t worry- you asked a legitimate question. Just not a happy time on the inter web .....

How the fuck am I supposed to know about North Shields and South Shields, only been to Newcastle once for a stag party. Went fishing in Hartlepool once. Was impressed with the metro you have up there in the North East and the price of a pint made me feel like I'd gone back in a time machine, got very fed up with all the spice heads begging change and ciggies and the general smell of urine which seemed to be all over Newcastle.

You know loads about non-league clubs in East Anglia then do you?
yeah, family is from Attleborough

Then keeps on asking about it

Either a mag or some kind of energy vampire feeding off our misery

Probably the latter. I look forward ro the day we storm the Norwich message board (The Pinkin?') en masse when we return to the promised land and sign one of their hottest prospects...our time will come.

If truth be told I though we were a little indifferent about Mumba, it was obvious he had potential but without him getting a chance I was surprised Norwich were offering us a fee. Fair play to them both, he was going to get a chance under Parkinson's watch.

It's a depressing sign of the times when sides like Norwich are poaching our young talent and their fans asking us if they have a good player or not. What the fuck has happened to this football club man. We cant even blame this on the Ellis Short years, this is 100% the product of Stewart Donald's approach to running the club.

On top of this Man U acting like Hugill was the product of their system and it has nothing to do with Donald assets stripping.

There was a buzz when he arrived, but a kind of resignation when after the first 100 times of asking they weren’t introduced into the first team.

It is absolutely stunning that Farke’s scouts saw Mumba’s potential from across the country, another division and in our reserves when Richard Hill, Stewart Donald and three managers saw fuck all from point blank distance, only perking up when a cheque for £300k was waved in front of their noses.

Donald who bragged that he would buy a player for a £ if he could. That during the Wyke discussion. Then went on to be shafted by Wigan over Grigg.

Norwich will have offered a take it or leave it so the great negotiator took it.

He's not the best that Donald. Certainly wouldn't get a golden gavel on bargain hunt.

@AvidCanary we just got knocked out of the cup by a League 2 side with no wins since March. There’s nothing personal against you.

@AvidCanary we're just shite with bad owners, a one dimensional manager seemingly allergic to giving young players a chance. We play minging football and got done in the FA Cup off Mansfield. Whilst we're doing okay in the league the style of football and a lack of a 20 goal a season man means most don't expect us to get out of this league, again. Thats not your fault, but it gives you an indication of the general consensus of our fans.

He's played as much football at fullback as he has in midfield. I wouldn't say midfield was his 'position'.

His development was handled terribly here. A lad with obvious ability and talent should have been in and around the 1st team a lot more than he was. Instead he as played in a side with players no where near his level who couldn't win a match. Ross should have used him more and Parkinson virtually ignored him.

Absolutely bewildering people on here were happy with the sale in the summer. I genuinely wonder what goes on in some people's brains.
He was the perfect player to have on the bench anyway given the amount of positions he can play

Talented lad from the little I saw. Played for England youth sides - so they rated him.
Also came across well and did his exams at school iirc.
basically exactly the sort of his prospect youd want around your club....unless you're an absolute fuckwit like our current owner.

Thought he was absolutely average when he played in the league for us, though he was only 16/17 at the time. Obviously he needed time and not just chucking in at the deep end, given at the time he was just entering his first full season of full time training.

Selling him for 300k or whatever looks like another 'master stroke' by the current idiots at the club. Though whisper it quietly and the people running football things at the club were being called allsorts last season when they shifted Mumba to fullback from central midfield. Looks like they might actually found a role for him where he excels as a younger lad away from the hustle and bustle of central midfield

Just another gleaming example of the idiot Parkinson refusing to give the young lads a chance, not mixing a team of reserves and young players together and saying that’s a fair shout

I am stunned that a 16yr old in a shite league one team didn't look amazing. That's what fucks me off really, that nobody at the club thought it might be worth hanging onto him until we return to a level where he'd be more suited to the style.

Instead we got rid because nobody at the club believes we will be at Norwich's level in the next few years.

Apologies!

I do feel a bit bad now to be honest, was genuinely just curious because to us Norwich fans he's just come out of absolutely nowhere.

When you've just been in the Prem and you see the fee of £350k you sort of assume they are going to be playing U23 football or straight out on loan, so hadn't even bothered to check out his wikipedia or anything, players signed for U23's come and go all the time. So was a massive shock to see him come on and do so well yesterday at that level.
We had him loaned out to South Shields who are about 5 leagues below us. Bali Mumba was so underated by SAFC that last season he was literally playing football with my neighbour.

Maybe those regular games are whats put him in a better place to play regularly in mens football, that's why we've had so many players out on loan, diamond, Mumba, Robson, Embleton and our un23's have been so weak.

the problem is we'll seemingly take any fee offered to us, rather than utilise and benefit some of our own young players.
