The other side is that we got 300k and that was a master stroke.
I hated the owners with a passion, however Mumba isn’t that good despite his age.
Too short however not bad feet.
No way suited to the clog of league one and something had to happen.
MUMBA is a lovely lad. I wish him well be didn’t lose much sleep on him moving.
Time will tell. There's every chance he'll be playing in the premier league in five months.

Ah yes, because kevin Francis was the worlds greatest player and Lionel Messi was a pub player.

I spoke to an agent last week who is putting 2 young players in to Norwich next season. He claims Bali is just run of the mill nothing to get excited about.
He said he will go on loan to Div 1 next season for a full season.
Sounds about right. He's made 2 league appearances, 1 FA cup and 1 league cup. Not exactly setting the world on fire

You do look at some of the youngsters that have left and wonder if it was best for their career. Mumba has hardly played any footy this year and will be 20 next season. Same with Greenwood - he will be 20 next year and has had one first team appearance in the FA Cup. Compare that to Jack Diamond who is 20 and has had over 60 first team games. Similarly look at the trajectory Asoro's career has gone. I can't help feeling that with Johnson and Speakman in charge it is a good time to be a young player at Sunderland. That said, Mumba is at a really good team to develop his career as well - hopefully he will get his chance next season as he is a good young player with a good attitude.

He can’t get a game when they’re running away with the title but he’ll get a game against Man City? He’ll end up going on loan at league two.

But you know for sure he won't get some games and continue his development?
Same as I said on the start of this thread he’ll barely start a game for them, in my opinion he’ll be sent out on loan and league two is his level and he won’t even do anything there

Diamond is 3 age groups above Greenwood and Mumba. Dan Neil is the same age as those 2 and hasn't exactly been getting loads of first team experience

He's only a couple of years older. The fact remains that for Greenwood has gone for something like £2M in fees and has one FA Cup appearance to his name. He clearly talented but he will be 20 next season and by then needs to be playing football at 1st team level. Leeds fans view is that Bielsa doesn't trust youngsters and this is his achilles heal. Man Utd have had a 17 year old on the bench, Arsenal regularly play 18 year olds. For both Greenwood and Mumba next year is a big year for them and they need first team football or their potential will be in question.
