Northern trains

Squeezed on the 12:01 at Hartlepool, no ventilation was almost ready to pass out with the heat, when it was time to get off there was a lass passed out near the doors so took 10 minutes or so to get off. First pint didn’t touch the sides. Got the 17:50 train home loads of room.
 
Going to Seaton for the 11,56 and I saw a train going past which was apparently the delayed 11am train. Managed to get on and had a seat from Hartlepool. Coming back the 18.01 was delayed until 18.33 but I managed to have an extra pint and saw the Bristol lads I'd met before the game in Spoons. Great day despite the result.

I contacted our mp a while back and she wrote me a letter saying she would endeavour to improve things. Think I might get back in touch and inform her that things haven’t improved. I normally make sure I get the grand central, a far superior service.

Me too. Love it.

A generic letter/petition that thousands could issue may suffice. Its not just matchgoers effected, many other folk.

All whilst on the train yesterday. I was fuming 😂
 
I e mailed Northern about the exact same problem years ago when we were in the Premier League. An elderly gent passed out right next to me because of the overcrowding.
My e mails were a waste of time. They couldn’t have cared less.

Yep I did as well, remember we were playing Liverpool on a Sunday 1245 KO and it was ridiculous with only 2/3 trains to get there on time and it was frankly dangerous.
They just say they dont have the 'rolling stock' to add extra carriages on, but surely they must be just being used somewhere else?
As others have said I oftne see 4 empty carriages trundling around during the week

Did it stop at Horden that 12:01 or did it just go direct we were gona get it for the stoke game.

I’d bypass everyone and email the managing director of Northern Nick Donovan. Sounds like there’s real safety issues. As usual the north east is left behind the rest of the country with this shoddy service and worse still, Someone could end up killed
