Northern Echo alleges "Prem interest in 4 of our players"

Selling might be a good thing. We were offered 20 million for Kenwyne Jones and similar for Kone but didn’t take the deals and they subsequently left for a lot less. Given this, it makes a lot of sense to sell when a player’s stock is high.

We do run the risk of stagnating with this however, just being a mid table championship side that develops youngsters to sell on (to clubs like Brentford and their prem money) without achieving anything more and never getting promoted. This would start to seem like a disaster after a few years, and not a fair reflection of a fanbase and club that has the potential for regular premier league football.

Selling high and reinvesting wisely is fine.

He’s excellent man

We have already lost amad. And can see bug interest in clarke

We have to be careful, we cant be letting too many go
Like I said he’s inconsistent, does have excellent games but has plenty where he’s completely anonymous. Not saying I want rid, I just think he’s in that age category where this is the max value we’d get for him. Losing Clarke would be far more disappointing.

Would be gutted to see any of these lads go but I'd be amazed if either one of Patterson or Clarke are here next season.

As lovely a player as Roberts is to watch I'm not convinced that he has enough end product to make the step up and Neil is at least another season away from being Premier League quality IMO.

He’s had good games and poor games. He was a liability in the second leg. I don’t think he’s got the potential to be a PL player and that’s what we’re aiming to be.

That’s just utter nonsense, you can’t mean that surely?

Liability

Deary me

Why do local lads get stick from a small percentage of the crowd? It’s weird

Why not? Neil is a decent player but limited and struggles mentally at times. Ekwah is the better prospect and we will get the English premium for Neil.

We need a decent combative midfielder with a good fitness track record more than anything.
I like Neil, but I would be in favour of selling for say £15mill and buying Bellingham AND Michut for less than £6mill.

Well if we can get a decent price, good luck to them.

Personally i think Neil isnt ready for the premier league yet and im not sure where Roberts would fit.

It would help if you stated which part you disagreed, at this point I’d be better off drawing eyes and a mouth on my letterbox and pretending it’s talking back.

Firstly, I’m not convinced you are actually being serious here

Neil is his 2md year as a footballer, played 45 out of 46 games in the youngest team in the country and we got in playoffs. Evans gets injured and has to be the senior man in midfield and does it brilliantly, big reason we win at places like west brom and Norwich

I just don’t think some people get it, I fear for them in the future if this what they’re like now. It’s just mad.

A liability? Jesus wept man.
15 million

You’ve always hated the local lads mind I forgot about that.
