North East Soft Plays

Don’t think we’ve done this before, so Ha’way, for those of us with little brats to entertain, where’s decent.

At Millie’s Magical Garden now, tenner for 2 kids. Decent value.

Single parenting next week so we’re going to do the Funshack in Benton, £27.50  Cheeky bastards are charging me £2 to get in. It’ll be the same prices for Seaham, Gateshead & Stockton.

Aquatic Centre & Silksworth are canny for minimal admission fee.

Fun Jungle in Sulgrave is canny, but a bit on the expensive side & they're arseholes about taking your own food & drink in. To the point there’s signs saying you cannot take water in for your child. Fair enough if you’re taking a picnic.

Go Bananas down Seaburn. Shithole, don’t bother.
If the adults have to pay a charge to get in, do you get a go on the slides?

miss these places like a hole in the head

used to have the bairn's birthday party at the one in Seaham years ago. Was f***ing horrific when the kids got to the age when their parents would drop them off and gleefully fuck off and leave you in charge of their little darlings.

one year, had 20 of the buggers and when we got up to the party room we had lost one. Me and our lass swapped nervous glances, and I flew back downstairs two stairs at a time to retrieve the lost child. Got into the main room, and at this point, it only dawned on me that I had no clue what child I was looking for in a warehouse full of children.

Full blown panic was about ten seconds away, when a little lad started pulling on my arm asking where everyone had gone :lol::lol::lol:

not my finest hour

Real shame for kids today I think they missing out so much been stuck in a soft play.
Too think not that many years ago there was no such thing, we climbed trees, jumped rivers, bird nested and played every sport under the sun as well as many other outdoor games which would probably frowned upon, Grand National been one :) about 20 kids find a long stretch of back gardens and just go for it fence after fence the winner was a legend usually fair few injuries and maybe a wee bit damage but what a laugh.
Kids today never seem happy unless you spending.
Defo think i grew up in the best era 70`s was class as a kid.

We used to take my son to Dragonflies at Durham. No idea how much it was. It's quite small so easy to keep an eye on the kids and they do decent coffee and breakfast stuff. No charvers either which is always a bonus.

No they're too old for softplay we go to infinite air in Durham with them about once a month.

Dunes down Shields is great
Forgot about that one. Aye, it’s canny. Usually very busy though. There were people drinking at the tables last time I was there.

Aye, they’re getting a clip of they do that. Soft plays & stuff tend to be when the weather turns, it’s parks & stuff otherwise.

Mind, soft play, swimming, fair, pictures, trampolining….

All costs an absolute fortune. Then you’ve got to feed them.
