North east behind since resources redirected

Earlier in the thread the NE had the highest elderly population. Now we die young. Hmmm.

We do have both a proportionately older population but also a shorter lifespan.

Is that hard to understand like?

I notice the BNP lad and the like also seem to have jumped straight on applauding your comment without thinking it through, too.

I think some areas had been ahead but more people have been added into the group 6 so some areas will have started to move on to the other groups and will have to go back to do the new people added into group 6

The BNP lad? You've always got some bitchy nasty little comment to make, haven't you?
Why is it with characters like you you always want to put others down? Makes you feel superior I'd guess. I read one of your mealy mouthed comments on another thread about hitting the elderly in their pensions. Why, because you've read a survey that shows they voted leave. Wow. So I'd have thought you'd be pleased they are dying younger. Not so much pension to pay out, more benefits for you. The race to the bottom is well and truly on.

I think you have me and someone else mixed up but I'd imagine in your head you just see a big blob of "lefties" and that's all...no subtlety.

Im sorry if you feel threatened when you make a.silly comment and get pulled up on but the facts are important.

As for me, I work for fuck all helping homeless people, but obviously I just do that because I like 'pulling people down'

Of course plenty of people up here don't like it when someone sticks up for the north east.

448962 first jabs announced in todays stats which again is good going. 18.7 million now first jabs. Over 30000 2nd jabs as well, this number was under 2000 11 days ago.

Encouraging numbers all round. As already said, the new mass vaccine centre is up and running at Durham and the Darlington one opens on Monday.

We're doing well all round

I didn't make a silly comment. It was a tongue in cheek comment about an elderly population dying young.
As for lefties and righties what sort of person would describe themselves as either of those things? Why not just use common sense in your political opinions? If something is the correct thing to do, or if something is the kind thing to do then that's what you should do, if possible.
There are a lot of drum bangers on here who like to tell us how evil certain members of this forum are. They love to bang on about their caring left wing credentials and what great socialists they are. Most are as phoney as fuck and you can tell reading their stuff they only care about themselves. Some of them are the most unpleasant people I've came across in real life or the internet.
Like the one in the link who seems to think that old people hate their kids and grand kids and are happy to fuck them over. Obviously his parents or grand parents are the type of people he describes there and he extrapolates that to all elderly people. Which of course is 100% bollocks. A nasty vindictive brat spitting lies and bile. I think that sums him up. I'm sure you'll agree.

London, Luton, Birmingham all behind..................... I wonder why..........
Sky News trying to say " But deprivation is also key" - I can't buy into that given East Durham are absolutely flying with the vaccine roll out and we keep getting told we're one of the most deprived areas going. Speaking to people at work in Middlesbrough they also seem to be doing well.
Just had a call from my GP surgery, I am eligible for the vaccine which obviously I am happy about. They said they are fully booked today and over the weekend. They are waiting to hear when they are receiving the next batch and for me to give them a call Tues/Wednesday next week, so instead of phoning 119 I'll just hang fire and wait to go via the surgery.

The lady on the phone said "we are making very good progress", so folk can take that whatever way they want but for East Durham, I'd say that's a positive statement to hear.

Surely all the vulnerable and elderly must be done by now?

There is a new tranche of vulnerable people who have just been informed that they are vulnerable. The list is based on the characteristics of those who have died over the past year and it covers things such as age, diabetes, obesity, heart failure etc. There are about 1.7 million people who have been informed over the past couple of weeks and who have been told they should be shielding. They are still in the process of vaccinating them.
