Clicks on click bait link

“Ah it’s click bait that ffs”

Clicks on click bait link.

“Ah it’s click bait again ffs”

Clicks on click bait link…

“Ah more click bait ffs. Won’t get me again”

Spots tweet with a link and headline saying ‘You will never believe which player likes tomato soup”

Hovers mouse over link, pauses remembering ever other link, and clicks link anyway.

“Ahhh it’s click bait ffs. I can’t believe it”

Repeat forever

Don’t get your hopes up if you want a transfer exclusive from the echo, I know more than them and I know fuck all. Journalist, do me a favour

Biggest issue for me with the Echo isn’t particularly the journalism or the content (it’s hard nowadays in the world of quickbit news where everything is reported instantly to create engaging content regarding a football club day after day), it’s more how utterly horrific the website is - to the point where even if there’s something I’d fancy reading I generally don’t bother cause the UX is that bad (as is the Chronicle).

Though I do think the lad was a bit silly to lead with it being ‘transfer’ news a day before deadline day and everyone is highly strung . If he’d have led with it being an exclusive interview that’d have been great.
