Non League Football

Just heard from a reliable source grant leadbitter will be taking over Durham with Carlos edwards as his assistant. Will definitely increase their gate and cooperate events

Whats Jason Anisley up to these days? He’d be a good fit to get a project at Durham up and running, massive step down from Spennymoor though

Just been to see Morpeth Town against Lancaster City, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

Disappointing that Morpeth didn’t win as they were 2-1 up and Lancaster had a man sent off. In the end Morpeth looked like the team who were down to 10 men.

Can not fault the players for their effort and the goalkeeper made a few good saves.

United Counties Premier Division South for me this evening - Hinckley LR 4-0 Long Buckby

Less than a decade ago, the old Hinckley United were playing in front of crowds around the 800 mark in the Conference North. There were around 80 rattling around the same stadium today. The demise of United (themselves formed from a merger of Hinckley Town and Hinckley Athletic) brought about the emergence of two rival 'phoenix' clubs - Hinckley AFC and Leicester Road, the latter changing their name to Hinckley LR for this season.
Both clubs hate each other and, with Leicester City's recent success no doubt attracting most fans in the area, you struggle to see how the town will accommodate more than one club at even Step 5 level. The two clubs meet for the first time in the next round of the Vase

Just read this, thought Leadbitter n Edwards an odd match....then I noticed the poster...🙄. Can you not just stick to posts about kick offs in Jackie Whites market 😉?

FC Deportivo Galicia 3-3 Berks County.

Really entertaining game last night from two teams that keep the ball on the floor and move it around quickly. FCDG's defence let the side down, letting the opposition through too easily. One goal conceded by passing across our own goal, another a penalty after we conceded possession just outside our own area and scrambled back.

Our no14 was subbed on and changed the game. Turned and launched a beautiful ball from just outside the central circle to a waiting winger almost at the byline, and scored a penalty in the last minute for a draw. Definitely a point earned rather than 2 lost.
