Non League Football

Marske are a very good side. Best striker in the region for their level and even the next couple. Boyes is a proper player.

That said their legs are getting old in the middle of the park and Shields’ full time status and the levels of fitness that should bring will have enough.

But Boyes could be game winner.
I dont think he will be better than Taylor at Spennymoor

He wasnt just like your post above states. He retaliated to a none thrown punch and should be banned for life.
That’s one persons statement of events others say the keeper punched or slapped him 1st. Even if he didn’t make contact it could be argued there was intent and he reacted. You‘re wanting a man banned for life before all the evidence has been evaluated.

Hearing Shaun the keeper from shildon has made a full recovery, he was discharged from south Tyneside general this morning.
Got to give huge credit to the NHS, supporting victims of violence in football

Going to head down with the father in law to Marske to watch Shields play them in the 2nd qualifying round in a couple of weeks time. Be a tough game for Shields giving Marske's start to the season, even if they are a division below them.

Canny set up down Marske, we do bits with them through work. It seems a proper community club.

0-10 loss for Durham City last night and manager has left this morning.
Next up for them is Consett on Saturday. Surely an absolute massacre incoming?

Second 10 nil defeat of the season. No home and been in absolute disarray for a good few years. If it was a dog it would have been put out of its misery ages ago.

Ah man nightmare, wouldn’t have been there due to being at the SOL and had a feeling I’d miss a few goals.

Fingers crossed this isn’t it for the club mate….tough times
i havent been a regualr player tbh i played in pre season but the manager brought in another goalie right before the first game so i lost my place i was just looking forward to having a game Saturday tbh!

Durham have pulled out the game
Hardly surprising. Club has been limping from one disaster to the next for years. The fine and any other penalties from pulling out will seem like standard practice now. The damage to their reputation if they took another tonking would far outweigh the fine for not playing

Good luck for the season marra. I have sympathy and respect for any member of the playing squad that sticks around at that place. Was a basket case for years when I was involved and somehow seems to have only gotten worse
