Depending on how many get relegated they may actually go this season as movement should happen more from now on.Not looking good for Esh. A season around the bottom looks like it awaits![]()
Northern league season starts today. Anyone off to a game? I’m going to billingham town to watch aycliffe
Birtley do look to have a canny team, could be a long season for Chester as well, 3-4 v University flattered them. Not looking good for Esh. A season around the bottom looks like it awaits![]()
No game for me today, but going to watch Whickham v Billingham on Tuesday. Get yourself back on here after the game to provide me a full scouting report on Billingham![]()
Verstraatan has left shields to go back to the Netherlands
Are Durham City still playing their home games there?Went to Willington 2-0 Durham City. City fairly well organised and look a bit better than previously but might be another season of struggle.
Ye, that's what it says on the website and carry on his football back home.Probably make more money outside of football with the degree he has.
Are Durham City still playing their home games there?
Real shame, they had so much potential at one point.Yes. Think this will be their 7th season without a ‘home’

Durham / Brandon / Esh / Chester Le Street already look like having long wintersIt does look like there are a fair few teams around the bottom zone. Durham City look rubbish. Brandon are again at the bottom. Esh have a decent chance of geting points from the other bottom teams so hopefully it will be a case of safety again. By the by, does any other Esh fan remember when we played Morecambe, now of the same league as Safc, in the 80's at their place in the FA cup? We lost (comprehensively) as we had to play our driver, but at that time we were on level terms as them.
Maybe...but it's about the enjoyment of the game, the support for the local team, the ale, the friendship, and just paying on the gate when Sunderland are not playing at home is a no brainer. We should all support our nearest local team when we can and in the process enoy a good afternoon. For older people, away travel is just too much and this where our local sides give us so much.Durham / Brandon / Esh / Chester Le Street already look like having long winters
