I see what you mean. According to the League table both teams could finish above South Shields but they say they're up and nobody has contradicted it. I've even checked to see if Scarborough still have to play Hyde but they don't.

They still need a point. Due to the restructure of the league goal difference isn't important for Shields as its points per game ratio that will be used. So they're still counting their chickens and not mathematically assured promotion.
