Non League Football

I think shields will win the league next year and then find it really competitive in conference north. Evo stik leagues weren't massively different, i watched spenny through both leagues and got promoted twice (via playoffs) in a row with only few additions to the squad along the way. Theres never been a massive overhaul and it pays off to have a solid team rather than individual flare players.
Spennymoor brought a few players in from higher up when they got promoted. Got it just right in my opinion. We need to do the same. Centre midfield needs strengthening. Maybe turnball from Darlington will come this year, was close last season to coming and wants a shot with shields.

Think shields will go full time when they reach conference north(if)

They’ve played a few teams from the League above over the season/pre season and had a mixed bag of results. All be it in Cup and Pre Season. I think they need to add a bit more before they can get promoted from the NPL.
They will add to the squad next season. Our ex manager has seen a lot of their games this season and says he expects them to be there are thereabouts with the present squad. Not sure who he knows down there probably G Fenton but says they’ll reinvest.

A lot of people including myself think the league SS are in now isn’t much stronger than the Northern league div one. But it gets much harder in unibond Premier. That also came from one of the officials of the Unibond League a few year ago.

I've been surprised by this lge. Its not as easy as people said it would be The bottom half teams are a lot better than the bottom half of northern lge

When we had a really good side(finished second to Durham City who had a very good side)we got bogged down with Vase games Derek Bell who was a Unibond executive at the time told me he’d watched us a few times and we would probably go up again with the same team if we took promotion. A lot of our players didn’t and wouldn’t travel. But maybe better standard now. Saying that we’ve played a few teams from that league in FA cup in recent years and beat them and we’ve always thought there wasn’t a noticeable difference. But I suppose you don’t know till you play in it every week.

Top 5 or 6 in nl would do OK I agree. The rest wouldn't finish top half..
Just my opinion based on what I've seen this season
Honestly

Honestly think Morpeth, Marske, Shildon, Consett, West Auckland, Dunston, North Shields, and Stockton would do well but you watch it so you’ll know better.

Hopefully be sticking with Scott as manager. Great lad

Exciting times for Hebburn. The club house is fantastic with more work planned.

From what I have heard its the last season for cricket being played and plans are for a new stand where the square is along with a plastic pitch on the reserve pitch

Hopefully they will sneak promotion this season.

Seaham Red Star Vs. Guisborough Town for me. The Star started the season really well, but their form has been all over since winter. Craig Lynch is the manager now, hopefully he does well given a proper go of it. He’s only 25 and I guess it’s a big jump from playing to managing at such a young age.

Spenny we’re paying £2500 per game rent last 2 games. Players tired travelling an hour and a half for home games and they lost home advantage.
Chairman should have invested in better drainage for the home field

If the results stay same as they are now Morpeth will need 1 more point to guarantee promotion. Wonder if they'll celebrate
