Non League Football

That is crazy, even if they lose every game it looks like they will finish 2nd and get promoted (although when they won the league a few years ago they declined because of the costs involved).
Benefield could still catch the top two (unlikely) top two will both go up this season whether they want too or not.

It's great they are leaving them debt free But any new owners must be prepared to subsidise them in the same way Will make the search much harder

Still plenty of time for Morpeth to lose their remaining games, plus chuck a few ineligible players to knock their points total back a bit.

Think they need 7 more points to be sure. Even they wouldn't do that (would they )
No they wouldn’t. They were going to contest forced promotion with the FA about ten weeks ago I was told if they finished first or second. Excellent side. Got the correct mix.

Didn’t hear the outcome but I did say to Mike Amos months ago the FA had all the marbles and couldn’t see the point of contesting it. It was always the first two automatic but I’ve never heard anything about third place.

Teams folding and merging means a extra team may be needed.. Best 3rd ppg probably.

Just spoke to our secretary only one definitely then the best runner up out of a few leagues as changing geographical regions. East West as opposed North/South. Next year one only year after two. That was league meeting last week.

Ossett Albion & Ossett Town are merging next season to Ossett United. Both in the Evo-stik North, so there will be an extra team needed there from one of the leagues like the Northern League.

That would be good news for the Northern League, and give it a few seasons the imbalance of teams in the Evostik North will begin to address it self meaning less lengthy journeys for NE teams. Joking aside, hopefully Morpeth, Marske +1 will make a decent go of it next year.

Sunderland Sunday League. Grange Park won 2nd Division title and were presented with the trophy yesterday. We also won 3rd Division title last season. We've lost 2 league games in 2 seasons so we're doing very well. I see some good players every week and also some bad ones. It's refreshing seeing lads who aren't getting paid but to actually try and win not for money, but for the love of football and give everything they've got for their clubs. Not like so called professionals who don't give a fuck, as long as they're getting paid
Just about all of the teams talked about on this thread will be getting paid as will some of the sides in the Premier division of your Sunday League.

You know something I don’t know. The second info I got was from David Pyke our secretary at Consett. I was chairman for years President now. He did say they keep changing all the time. You must be connected to one of the Northern League clubs to be that up to date.

League meeting last week saying one team next season and two the following season. But our secretary saying it changes all the time due to league restructuring. What’s happening with new leagues is clear as mud but hopefully will come into place after two seasons.

Spennymoor draw 0-0 at home.

Costing £3k a game to play homes at Harrogate plus free busses for home fans.

Chairman should have spent money on the pitch / drainage earlier in the season
