Great idea.. i’ve been saying for yonks they should invent something like this .. only downside is if it’s blowing a hoolie it might rip off and of course the spectators might still get wet as well but with our summer weather seemingly pissing down every year what’s not to like about it
 
what happens to the water? big waterhog on the canopy?

You'd have to have some sort of guttering/drainage around the edge of the canopy. Seems a bit expensive for making sure a CC game goes ahead mind.

Anyone remember Leicester's hot air balloon at Filbert Street in the 70's/80's?

Can't see it getting the go ahead in Chester, enough problems with the floodlights!

Riverside also has that issue with the river under the pitch to contend with. Won't get any tents and hot air balloons down there.
