Not one that runs on electricity though, hundreds of people die from air pollution every year in Britain

Thousands of people die from smoking or alcohol abuse every year in the UK but I can still go to the shops and buy them.

OK if you've got a posh house with a drive or garage, and your family is a one car household, if you are like me and millions of others who have to park on the road you will be fcuked

You’ll be able to charge it at a supermarket, or work, or a multi storey, soon enough you’ll only need to charge it once a week.

Not to mention they’re looking at putting charging cables into lamp posts.

Those things impact on an individuals health only, air pollution from driving impacts others. Big difference.

Phasing out ICE cars is similar to the smoking ban in that respect.

I must have dreamt about passive smoking.
How much will your 500 pound car cost to run, per mile, for the next ten years?

I haven't got a £500 car.

My next door neighbour are a family of 5, all drive cars every day. Can you get 5 gang charging points if they all go electric?

No that was a 7kw charger, a three pin plug would take 39 hours not 13 hours. Read the f***ing chart you quoted from Nigella.
Do they all need to charge them at exactly the same time?

A couple of points and charge them alternately. That is unless you got a family of five who all drive more than 300 miles a day.

Even then, a model 3 can cover 300 miles easily as long as you stop for a piss and plug it in for say 15 minutes.

Would save you a fortune if you do that mileage every day.

Solutions will be found.

Can nobody see past a problem?

Your giving shit analogies anyway, as all the things you mention are progressively better than the things they're replacing.

Ev's aren't better, they're an alternative that has a few positives but currently more negatives
How are EVs not better???

The simple fact they're not spewing out shed loads of toxic gas is a major plus.
They’d still be using horse and carts man :D
They are a certain percentage of people who just can't cope with change and search out reasons why we should never change.
But we're basing that on being plenty of chargers available. If there isn't then I could be held up for over an hour.

The current problem is the massive lack of infrastructure & zero faith in this government to deliver it.

Oh and the 200+ mile cars aren't yet affordable. So I'd probably need 2 stop offs. Which could end up being a right pain in the arse

Cornwall would be a nightmare
Have you read this thread, all the EV owners telling you charging is a piece of piss with few problems.

One EV said that they're not for everyone & that 25% would have problems. I'd agree with that

Another friend of owner has said they had charging problems

You wouldn't need 5 charge points as they all wouldn't need charging at the same time..

Do they all go to the petrol station at the same time

Is Tesla now available to all Evs for recharging?

Nah, Tesla only. Would take something huge for them to open it up as the availability of chargers is their USP.

I live in a flat, but there’s an abundance of chargers at my workplace. I don’t have any home charging at all.
