Morning Andy, Morning Hank, Morning All

Nee footy for the duck th’day.

Happy Bithday to Colonel Tom Moore, almost at £30M 👏👏👏👏.

Off for weekly shop later, well, I give moral support in queue and then sit in car.

I watched the directors’ cut of a porn film the other night. At the end the bloke actually fixes the washing machine. 😆

@Dilligaf60 a 29 hour shift for Mrs D??

@Scorefrom a throw in 👏👏👏👏amazing, I’m on lockdown and couldn’t do such a detailed analysis of the thread each day.
Morning duck. I might have seen that one too

Morning Edd. Our lass just told me the fine gentleman has had a train named for him. Outstanding.
The Mrs gets to go to bed during her shift but she needs to be in the building in case owt gans off.
Many apologies, I do read posts but forget a lot 😄. What is Mrs D’s position/post?
Morning duck. I might have seen that one too
😆

We watched ozark again last night and they had them on there! I know what you mean about turning American, the word GUYS pisses me off! The word Basically gets used by people far too often especially at the start of a sentence, am I old fashioned?!!!

My Mrs is quite enjoying it although she did say she hasn’t seen anything quite as graphic on tv for a while.

If you are then so am I mate. It gets on me tits. Same as folk putting “so” at the beginning of a sentence, and “reaching out” instead of contacting. Bloody gibberish.
Nor, yer burth reet. Guys are fer bonfires. So, in that context, is redundant. I'd like to add "look" or "listen" when used to kickstart a sentence. Sadly, there are many mare. I was looking through some owld notebooks the other day & came across a contemporaneous rant of mine, from about 5 years agan. Obviously, it's outdated but much of it still applies. A good bit mare could be added to update it. If I get the chance later, I'll see if I can reproduce it. I could photograph it & hoy that up, but nee bugger bar this bugger could decipher my hieroglyphics. It's doubtless highly offensive to some, but that's part of its charm.

Good morrow, John Dory....
You can’t just walk back into the ring and expect to be match fit... @becs has been in lockdown training while Hank will have been on the Frosties, could the most 1 sided match up since Clubber Lang took on Rocky for the first time
What's your prediction?
Pain....
Morning Hank

Morning Cloughy.
Whilst I realise the inevitability of our language and they way we use it will evolve over time, I worry that we will descend into the morass that is American English. I’m proud of our language and the way it is used ( mostly ) and I’d like us to keep our version of it untainted as far as possible. I was reading some excerpts from Samuel Pepys diary the other evening, wonderfully written, it wouldn’t work now mind which is a shame. I’d love to hear the occasional “Gadzooks“ in a news broadcast. Or perhaps a “forsooth”
