Morning lads. I feel a bit better after yesterday.

A lady from the council phoned as my details had been passed on as a vulnerable person. She's left her phone number and some other numbers that I can ring if I need any help and they will get me sorted. The government list I am on will be going to the supermarkets in the next few days, so hopefully one of them can offer me a regular delivery slot for food shopping. If not, there are people who will take a list and money from me and go and do it at the shops for me.

The local councillor got in touch and offered to run errands. I was worried about Bob's prescription but I can order and pay for it over the phone and she'll pick it up from the vets for me and anything else I need. My chemist probably does deliveries or I can send my son along as it's just under a mile away so walkable.

Ocado have already been with the shopping that I'd done before they locked their website down. I managed to get a click and collect slot from Sainsburys tomorrow for the rest. Might go in the car for that one as it's a van in the car park, so I can get the bairn to get out and ask the driver to put the shopping in the car boot and I'll not have any contact with anyone. If not, I'm sure the councillor will either collect it or find someone else who can pick it up.

Gym instructor put an online timetable on last night and he's putting workouts on from tomorrow, so I'll have a go at them.

Cleaning the oven today. It's been manky for ages but I really hate doing it! Had the shelves soaking overnight so will get cracking later on.

Sorry for being miserable lately. Everything just seemed so bleak and I was struggling to cope with the big change in routine and I'm an independent so and so and hate asking for help.

Have a good day all :)

Morning marra

Morning becs, I think everyone is starting to feel the situation get to them at the moment. Me and the bairn had our first proper argument in ages yesterday because were under each others feet all the time. Just remember hun theres plenty of people on here that are willing to chat if you feel down and will also support you best we can.

Yes I think I only like the dark ales a couple at a time

Morning Becs glad to hear you have perked up

would like to think this board helped in a small way

Morning mate. It did a lot. There's some topper people on here 😘
Morning Becs.
You sound a bit more chipper.
We are staying at home as much as possible but popping out every couple of days for ‘things’. So if you get stuck let me know and I’ll pick something up for you. It’s not far to Houston.

Morning and thank you. I will let you know if I get stuck 😘
Morning Becs
Fantastic that help is at hand, at last, and things are looking decidedly rosier for you today. 👍
It's ok to be a miserable cow now and then 😉 (just kidding) as we all still love you anyway, and you have no need whatsoever, to aplologise. 😘
These are very trying times for us all, and sometimes we have bad days, but we'll get through this somehow.
You take care and have a good day lass x

Morning marra and thanks 😘

Morning Modern Man
Great effort to make a sponge (practice makes perfect)
I hope Mrs Storts enjoyed her milestone birthday, even though she never managed to get away 👍
Stay safe and enjoy your day mate, (and keep those brownie points safe, for when footy eventually returns) 👍

Morning mate and thanks. The bairn wants to do some baking and a clean oven is more efficient 👍

Morning marra. My two are getting on each others nerves a bit. The youngest was whinging yesterday as apparently her brothers PC keyboard is "too clacky" 😂

So pleased you got something sorted, even though you come across as independent, in a time of crisis you must use the help out there and this is a time of crisis and uncertainty.
Everybody on this thread l'm sure wish you well as l do.

Morning MM

Morning Sis and thanks.
Stay safe, drink Baileys and have a good day, mate. 🥃 👍
The day just got better and more than a few beers plus the old Baileys will get hammered as tha lad has just touchdown. Welcome to Starlag 13, the shed ready for your 14 day isolation.

I know how she feels my young un bought a mechanical keyboard for his pc in his room and while I'm trying to sleep it sounds like a 1950's typing pool in the room next door

She did enjoy it, lots of her mates left flower and presents on the doorstep which she appreciated.
Think I might quit baking while behind, the youngest offered to show how to bake eclairs, which sounds like a certain bridge in Arnhem for me.
As for brownie points I am so far in the red it’s not funny but she still lets me out for away days, that’s why she’s a keeper:cool:
