Yeah agree they seems to be this assumption that a spinner needs to be picked, In English conditions against Pakistan if you have 4 good seamers which we do would just go with them

Really don't see the point in keeping Foakes. He'd be far better served actually playing cricket.

If he isn't gonna play a Test I'd have had him over Billings in the white ball side but failing that, let him play for Surrey.

It's clear the only way he'd get a game is if Buttler broke a finger. In which case give Pope the gloves temporarily and bring Foakes in for the next Test to be played.

Anyone who knows cricket knows Foakes is a class performer but any good player needs game time. And playing for Surrey will be far better for him than carting drinks around ffs
