Is this a surprise? Were they even in for it?

Shame - had a cracking day out last summer with me Da at the Riverside

1st Test - Cardiff
2nd Test - Lord's
3rd Test - Edgbaston
4th Test - Trent Bridge
5th Test - The Oval

Most of the 2015 test venues were decided around the same time as the ones for 2013.

We already knew we weren't getting one for 2015. Probably wont get one in 2019 either.

This.

f***ing shite that there won't be a Northern Test though. Old Trafford and Headingley are great atmospheres. The Northern Test will that year be against the 'other' touring team. So probably someone like Bangladesh in a 2 Test Series.

I think we play a couple against NZ before Aus. Can't imagine they will be northern venues either.

Ah right. NZ it is then. IIRC, the Northern trio (us, Headingley and Old Trafford) get a minimum of one Test per year.

Not sure if that still applies but as of last season I believe it did. In truth I wouldn't be bothered if we didn't get another Test for a good few years. If that's what it'll take for us to get our own house in order and the County side strengthened then I'd prefer that.

I wonder how much Durham will charge for the NZ ODI next year.

If it's anywhere near the sixty notes to watch SL they can forget it. I wonder how well the SL tickets are selling.

Comes down to money doesnt it and dont think we could afford to pay the ECB what you have to pay to host an Ashes test.

Shame really, would have hoped at least of getting a New Zealand test.

I'm surprised Old Trafford hasn't got one. The ground is finished, it's up around 28,000 for international matches and the LCCC board have aggressively tried to get as much cricket as possible.

No Test Match cricket at all in 2015. :(

Instead, playing in front of 15,000 in Cardiff. Righto.

Lancs were given the option of hosting an Ashes test in 2013 or 2015 so they chose the earlier one.

Regards Cardiff, I'm still very bitter at the way we had to bough and courtsey to the ECB for tests against minor test teams and they went and got the big prize straight up when they weren't even a ground with test status.

I hope it pisses down constantly on all 5 days there.

Can't stand Tests at Cardiff, shite crowds that hardly care about Cricket, more concerned about an all day piss up.

Glad to see NZ back here, always a good game against them.

Yeah don't think we were in for it, shame

went to all 4 days with me dad for the Ashes, was talking to him last night about, saying it was one of the most enjoyable things he had ever done. Really was a fantastic occasion, wrapping the game up on the 4th day was just magical.
