I was always brought up to believe they were in Hendon mate,as a kid I remember them called the Hendon garths,mind you I must have been maybe 6 when we left there so maybe a false memory?

Loads of old Victorian Houses... lots turned into flats mind... but always thought it was a canny area and within walking distance of the town/metro... Ive only been back 8 months mind and Im rarely here during the week

Can't beat the old Edwardians. They knew how to build proper houses.

Wasnt sure there were many actual Edwardian buildings... mine was built in 1841 and has some Edwardian features.... its what I love about Sunderland to be honest

West lawn is lovely this time of year sun comes over about 12/1230 you can get out on the balcony and watch the cricket and pick up a nice tan. Mind cold in the winter with the high ceilings.
