You can see why I thought Brees would struggle like fuck in Lambeau in January.
Rodgers vs Brady to go to the Super Bowl. Fantastic.
If there’s any justice the Super Bowl will be Packers v Chiefs.
Just need to try and swap my shift at work nowYou can see why I thought Brees would struggle like fuck in Lambeau in January.
Rodgers vs Brady to go to the Super Bowl. Fantastic.
I reckon Packers, Bills, Chiefs and Buccaneers
Which probably means Rams, Ravens, Browns and Saints
Wind the clock down now
Just need to try and swap my shift at work now
Good luck!
Thank christ I'm on nights next Monday. And then off following the Super Bowl. Shifts have fell beautifully.
I broke my wrist in November, haven't been back to work since, it's still shagged and I'm waiting to see what the MRI shows as it should've been back to normal at the end of December. Properly overloaded on NFL since the start of November though
Christ, good luck with that, done mine 15 year ago playing football, had better luck than you with recovery. Still a little silver lining being able to watch the games as the season comes to an end.
It's not been the best of years for me, awful at work back in March/April, getting Covid and being very ill with it, wedding postponed, still suffering the effects of Covid now (alcohol, bread and a few other things are completely inedible as they taste disgusting which really got me down, over Christmas especially), broken wrist and unknown issues still with it which I should find out about soon, fiance has had Covid in November and recently an operation as well.
I've been told work is incredibly tough again and I'm stuck at home unable to help out. Not sure if that's a bad thing based on how tough it is there at present but it isn't nice talking to colleagues who are really finding it hard and you feel helpless not being there with them.
My wrist is weird though, it's not too painful when its doing very light things but it won't bend in any direction much at all and little things can send pain all over the place depending on which direction fingers or hand gets knocked. I can only move it about 10 degrees at most in any direction and whilst the pain isn't there when I move it slowly it just won't go any further. I have a feeling it's ligament damage and/or bones out of place (complete guess) but I'm waiting for my specialist appointment to find out what it actually is.
I've broken wrists before and they were a lot more painful than this time but this is causing me far more long term issues as they repaired no problem at all.
One game away from a home Super Bowl. Buzzing! It is going to be tough but I expected the Saints to turn us over so who knows Rodgers V Brady will be class.
Congrats. Would be quite something to host the super bowl. One game away from a home Super Bowl. Buzzing! It is going to be tough but I expected the Saints to turn us over so who knows Rodgers V Brady will be class.
Another play off failure at least this time there can be no complaints. No miracles. No awful calls. Saints beat themselves last night, or rather Brees beat the Saints last night. Sad to see how it’s ended. The game should have been in complete control; back-to-back three and outs yielding just six points and Harris’ 66 yard return chalked off for a brain fart of shove - should have been three early scores up really. What happened in the end was akin to a dog who you know realistically needs putting to sleep but you obviously don’t want to. Really, really poor on offence.Suppose it’s not entirely Brees’ fault, Cook - who’s had a minging season - should shoulder some for his fumble, but the passing game just not there. It’s typical really, beat them at home in the regular season, put on the performance of the season in Tampa to blow them out and then lose against them when it matters. In fairness, the Buccs will give Green Bay a better game than Saints would have.
Long way back for Saints now. Brees going and the obvious QB dilemma, a near $100m cap problem with a number of the team now in need of bigger deals as well as free agent contracts and a number of the coaching and front office staff set to move on. Very much the hallmarks of an end of an era in NOLA. Was described as a Super Bowl or bust season and it’ll play out that way. Really surprising that this team hasn’t at least reached the big game in the past four years given its depth. For all the great things of the Payton/ Brees era it will still have to go down as a missed opportunity this period. Gutted - although not as much as the last few years as it never quite felt right this season. Ever since that loss in week two in Vegas it never quite felt like a Super Bowl team and both Rodgers and Mahomes have shown that by swooping in and comfortably winning in the Superdome. Ah well...it’s the hope you can't stand.
