Everything that is wrong with football and the young generation right there in that post. Advocating cheating, saying it's fair enough if it gives an advantage, and mostly, if others are doing it then so should we. Nope, we should be leading the way to stamp it out, it's a cunts trick. Me me me generation.

It's been happening since the 70s man

He has broken a bone in his back, fractured his vertebra, he as the same injury as me and I fell 17ft off a ladder cleaning my windows. It bloody hurts like hell. He'll have an operating within days and he'll miss the whole of next season at least. How anyone can wish a player to be injured is beyond me unless he plays for the mags of course
Ive heard he wont need an operation but will need to be completely immobile for several days. Bad injury but not career threatening or even season threatening.

Neymar is a victim of FIFA's desire to keep the yellow and red cards to a minimum.

The ref last night was the same one who didn't send off Godin against England. This ref is described as normally a card happy ref who has a record of sending off players on a very regular basis in the Spanish game, and it is clear that FIFA has changed his normal performances.

There have been a number of unpunished injuries sustained by reckless challenges and FIFA is the responsible party. Brazil started the reckless challenges last night, Fernandinho would have been sent off before half time in a PL or CL fixture.

You reap what you sow.

He's an elite club of the worst divers/feigning of injury I've ever seen. Up there with busquets and pepe in a special club of utter wankers.
That'll be right you turkey. Before this tournament I would have agreed with you. However this tournament he has focused on playing rather than cheating. With your blinkers on you wouldn't have noticed. He's been brilliant. I imagine that you often, strangely find yourself agreeing with Joey Barton.

What a shame eh? Now he knows what it's like to actually be hurt.

He's been rolling around all tournament man.

I'm afraid that despite Neymar's undoubted ability, he is far too keen to go to ground when it suits. If you can't see that, then you have the blinkers on mate. He's a diver.

He really hasn't and I've watched him closely as I really expected. I've been really pleasantly surprised by Neymar. It's a real shame he's missing. For all Brazils weaknesses - Fred, a very poor Oscar, Paulinho - it was great seeing Neymar carrying the team. I know you won't agree but he's completely changed my mind about him. A big miss for the tournament. Remember the Argentina '86 side was very ordinary except for the sublime Maradona (I'm not putting Neymar up with Maradona).

If he's fractured his vertebra like they say then he's going to be out more than a few days. I needed lumber fusion and decompression of the spine which means they operate joining your vertebra to another one, I.e. nuts and bolts or as the surgeons call it scaffolding. If they don't operate then it could leave his back at risk of major injury later on, meaning his spinal cord could be vulnerable, and putting his life at risk

The reports I have read are stating that he won't require surgery? Not saying you are wrong, maybe they are slightly exaggerating the damage done?

Team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar has confirmed that Neymar suffered a fractured vertebra during the match with Colombia.

He told Brazil's SportTV: "It's not serious in the sense that it doesn't need surgery, but he'll need to immobilize it to recover.

"Unfortunately, he's not going to be able to play," said Lasmar, adding that he expected the recovery period to take at least a few weeks.

The Brazil football confederation (CBF) confirmed in a statement that Neymar is likely to be absent for around a month, ruling the striker out of Tuesday's semi-final against Germany and the final, should Brazil get there, on July 13.

The statement read: "Neymar is out of the World Cup. The player suffered a fracture of the third vertebra and will not be able to recover in time to compete in the remaining two games of the World Cup - the recovery time predicted by the Brazilian team's medical department is four weeks."

If it's the lower part of the vertebra which it seems to be then it won't be as bad or so I've just been told, he's a very lucky boy, although still extremely painful

I remeber him and brazil at the olympics. He was diving under every tackle and was subsequently booed by the british crowd at every game. Tim Vickary (The South American Expert) said that put him off coming to England (Chelsea) and also made his mentality changr too apparently

He was a disgrace at the Olympics iirc,

I hope he never darkens our shores again.
