Whilst Mbappe has had his head turned at the thought of signing for the Mags and the famous number 9 shirt. I thought Neymar had an eye on a move to Wycombe. Some of his playacting and diving about was embarrassing.

Why do people feel the need to back up their insane claims with stuff like theyve never seen him have a positive impact in a major game man. Its just blatant bullshit

Its mad when people use the fact hes not as good as messi and ronaldo to say hes overrated aswell. If thats the barometer then theres been about 5 good players in history ffs

It's his style people don't like. Too many people still believing England is the last bastian of honest football between gentleman and not realising that the era is long gone.

Youve got to laugh like when a player isnt deemed as good as someone who has played in the premier league mind. Yet the teams they play for often put the prem teams bait up

Its ridiculous

This is the crux of it. They've raised the bar enormously.

In the 10 years before Ronaldo and Messi dominated the individual awards, the Ballon d'Or was won by Kaka, Cannavaro, Ronaldinho, Shevchenko, Nedved, Ronaldo, Figo, Owen, Rivaldo, Zidane.

Neymar in 14/15 and 15/16 had a better season than most of those who won it in those years. In 14/15 he scored 39 goals and was instrumental in his team winning a treble. Scored in CL final etc.
Was beaten to 2015 the Ballon d'Or by his team mate who scored 58 goals, and by Cristiano Ronaldo.
In another era he'd have been seen as a player who was the best in the world at some point.

Overrated ( not as good as messi and ronaldo )

Agreed.
Imagine Messi or Neymar up against West Brom, Fulham, Brighton, Newcastle. As if they'd struggle.
Players like Aubameyang or Aguero smash goals in regularly and don't struggle, yet these players who haven't tried the premier league are way better than those.

Maldini never gets slated for not playing outside of Italy.
Shearer, Giggs or Scholes never played abroad, but they're still seen as good players. Stupid argument.

That season he scored 10 goals in the champions league (same as Messi). Shite.

Obviously a quality player but maybe the hype has tried to elevate him to Messi/Ronaldo status when in reality he's a little bit below that.

Still needs to stop moaning though.

Tuchel bottled it not hooking him tonight. His head had gone, was utter shite. Amount of breaks he blew with bad passing or being too slow to move it on was ridiculous.

He's obviously a world class forward though, in the top 10-20 players in the world. Had a bad game, it happens.

it's only worth hooking him if the options off the bench are likely to be better. Not sure that would be the case.

I’ve hated him since he claimed Scotland fans threw a Banana at him At the Emirates.
Turned out it was a tourist, never apologised the fuckin diving cheating Cnutt.
Dry yer eyes wanker

He is a wonderful player - but to demand that he single-handedly defeats a super team like Bayern is asking too much.
